The group had only been back at their hotel suite for about an hour when they were whisked away to the studio where they would film an episode for Happy Camp. The six girls changed into their stage clothes, got their make up, and hair done to look their best on the popular Chinese variety show. Of the six that had traveled to China with the sub-unit BLM, only Jai and Yoona were Chinese--and that was considering they were only half-Chinese. The other girls often joked that they had one full Chinese in the group, split into two people.
The remaining four spoke Chinese because they had learned it from Yoona and Jai as trainees when they were selected to become part of the Mandarin subgroup. Even through their studying of the language, they often needed help when speaking it.
It was mostly because each of the members, even the ones in the Korean subgroup were required to learn at least four languages.
During the variety show, the girls performed one of their songs called Kiss Kiss, as well as participated in games with the MC's of the show. When it came the time to talk about their album, which was already out, and the promotions for the perfume, was when the girls all sat around with the hosts towards the end of their time on the show. That was also the segment where the management of Pledis had asked the producers of the show to make a few minutes of space for Sun to issue her public apology to the people of China, and all of Baby Lips fans for being a reckless person.
One of the MC's started talking about the album first, which he held in his hands and even lifted up high for everyone to get a good glimpse of it, both on stage and in the audience. Behind them on a screen was also projected a picture of the cover of the album.
"So this is your first official album as a twelve member group. That must be very exciting for you girls." He said, taking a look at the cover as he spoke. "Before this we had seen the release of your EP titled Lips Like Yours, but those were recorded as separate units, both BLM in Mandarin and BLK in Korean. Now, I know your Korean sub group isn't here. But I would like to ask how it feels to finally have worked on an album, all twelve of you."
"We know EXO has recently done the very same thing." One of the other MC's pointed out.
But Yoona, the leader of the Mandarin subunit ignored the comment about EXO. Instead, she proceeded to talk about the album where all the girls had participated as a twelve member group for the first time. "First of all, thank you for inviting us. And to answer the question, its definitely a completely different experience." Yoona began, speaking in her other native language since she was both Korean and Chinese. Her other group members nodded in agreement as she spoke. "Before this album, as you mentioned, we mostly promoted and did things along with our subgroup and didn't exactly see much of the other girls. Now we get to spend so much more time with them, which is nice. But it also makes dance routines a bit tougher for our dance instructor because there are twelve of us." She finished jokingly, the other girls laughed along as the audience erupted in laughter.
