They had five more concerts in Taiwan, Indonesia, and Thailand before the groups were allowed a break from touring. EXO had been back in China for one of their tour dates and had been surrounded in yet another scandal when Lu Han decided to leave the group. Junmyeon had explained to Sarang his group mate's reasons for leaving. On the night before their final concert in Beijing, his home town, he gathered his group mates together and explained to them the he no longer had no more to give. He was tired and had fallen ill, and he felt like he was working equally as hard as his other group mates--only to receive less opportunities. 

None of the other boys resented him for it, though they didn't want him to leave. They left China and returned to Korea without him.

Back in Korea, it was decided that EXO wouldn't be attending the KCON. Instead, they had decided to attend the Music Bank concert in Mexico. A change had been made to that performance as well. Originally, it had been set that the four vocalists would perform: Baekhyun, Kyungsoo, Jongdae, and Lu Han. With Lu Han's departure, he was replaced by Junmyeon, while Jongdae was replaced by Chanyeol.

The other members of EXO had been forced to unfollow Lu Han off their social media accounts, after the agency labeled him a traitor, according to Junmyeon. They had all done it except Yixing, who publicly showed his support for his group mate.

The Baby Lips members packed their things and traveled to Los Angeles not long after the scandal of Lu Han's departure hit. The boys of EXO K left for Mexico almost a month later, while the members of EXO M stayed behind. Yixing and Tao had been asked by the media if they would be next to leave the group, both assured their group members and the fans that they would remain with EXO who had given them everything. "We are where we are today thanks to EXO and SM Entertainment." Sun watched Yixing say in one of the interviews. "I will always be grateful to the agency for this opportunity, and I hope that I won't disappoint the fans."

From China, Lu Han had granted his own interview almost a month after leaving. He had strategically left out SM Entertainment and their treatment of him, and instead said, "I may have left, but I'll always support my brothers. We are one, and we will always be."

Over the internet, many EXO fans slammed him for leaving, calling him a traitor.

But he stayed firm with his decision.

They arrived in Los Angeles after a long flight--most of which Sun slept through--and she was still tired upon arrival. It was day time in the city of angels and the girls' tiredness faded when they saw everything on the way to their hotel. They would be staying in the downtown area, near the Staples Center--where they would be performing all weekend for the kpop convention. Then they would have four days of free time to shop and enjoy the sights.

The performances were more of a blur to her. There was practice for them, fitting of their outfits, and lack of sleep due to the nervousness of performing somewhere she had never visited before. The only ones of them who had actually seen Los Angeles before were Hani and Minnie. Hani had been born on Los Angeles and lived there until she auditioned online for Pledis Entertainment. She had auditioned for SM at their agency building in Los Angeles, but was never called back. Minnie--who was from a family of money--often visited the United States with her family on vacation or to go shopping.

The other girls would rely on them to show them around town.

On the first of their free days, Aron knocked on Sun's room door urgently. She had been still asleep but was woken up by his knocks. 

She went to the door and opened it to see Aron. "What do you want?" She asked him, wiping the sleep from her tired eyes.

"I have the address for the Univision press building where Allisson works and you promised you would go with me." He told her, showing her the location on the maps app of his cellphone. "Its about a twenty minute drive from here. I already rented a car from the hotel. Lets go." He grabbed her arm and was already pulling her out of her room in her pajamas.
