Morning came before I realized that any time had passed. At some point in the night, I had rolled over onto my other side and Ricky's arm hugged my back against his chest. I felt a few days stubble coming in on his chin as he nuzzled his head into the dip of my neck.
A smile grew on my face. Everything felt so right. Like nothing could ruin it. A loud snore that escaped Ricky's mouth broke that illusion and I started laughing uncontrollably. The shaking of my body must have woken him because a second later, he kissed the back of my neck.
"Good morning," he said groggily. "Hope you slept well." His arm tightened around me, and I pulled my hand to lace my fingers with his.
"Couldn't have slept better." I rolled over and nuzzled against his chest. The night's events came to mind. "So, there's something you should probably know."
He looked down at me. "Yeah? What's that?"
"Your parents know about us." There wasn't any way to simplify it or ease him into it without just telling him.
His body tensed. "Are you sure? How do you know?" I could tell that he was starting to panic a little and I pulled myself up to look at him.
"Don't worry. The way your dad was talking last night, I think he had realized it before your mom, but I can't discredit Isabelle. She saw me kiss you last night on the balcony. She just smiled and said thank you before she left."
Ricky closed his eyes and was silent for a moment. Then, he nodded. "Yeah. I can see what you mean about my dad."
He seemed upset for a moment, but instead smiled. "I guess we don't have to tell them after all. That'll make things a bit easier. Help lower my stress level." He chuckled a little and sighed.
I could see the gears turning in his head. Wondering what his parents must be thinking. "Hey. Stop worrying." I kissed his cheek and sat up, looking around his room. "It's been a while since we were in here together. I don't know that I can remember when it was exactly."
His arms came around me and pulled me closer to him. "It has. Maybe we should create a new memory here."
His lips made contact with my neck and I let a soft moan escape my throat. My body reacted and I turned to face him with a bashful smile. "You're terrible." Nonetheless, I pushed myself against him and started to kiss him.

When we made our ways downstairs, Isabelle and Steve were sitting in the dining room eating breakfast. Ricky's mother looked up when we walked in and smiled. "Good morning, boys. I was starting to wonder when you'd be joining us."
We both took seats across from them and started to make plates. One advantage to staying at the Davis household was Isabelle's fantastic talent in the kitchen. She had lined several plates with eggs, toast, and other breakfast foods.
As I bit into a slice of bacon and felt the crunchy meat crumble in my mouth, I couldn't help but release a soft moan of enjoyment. "The food is great as usual, Isabelle. Nothing could compare to your cooking."
A beaming smile appeared on her face. "You're far too kind, dear. Cooking is just a mother's natural talent." She ate another bite of her food and then looked at Ricky. "So. Did you boys sleep well last night? It was a lot to take in. I'd imagine you were rather tired."
I almost coughed, but Ricky spoke up. "Yeah. We spent some time on the balcony at first and talked just between us before going to bed."
Steve looked at each of us. "So. Ricky. I believe you mentioned a break coming up in your schedule soon?"
