Chapter 17: joe
When I woke up,the base was in total chaos, there were mutants and demons attacking the walls, the mechs were exploding in the distance. I heard a mech nano approaching from behind me. they were fighters that knew about mortal marital arts. I turned around to meet two of them. they were set to fight. I was trained in the arts of the demonic side. I knew how to use demonic powers, but I didn't know why. I let the mechs start the fight. the blue one on the left threw a uppercut, then the one on the right threw a rib breaker. I countered by grabbing his arm and flipping the robot on its back. I then scissor kicked the other one and sent him flying. the first one came at me again and attempted to catch me off guard, but he met a foot at full force. the hit knocked the robot's head off. that left me with one. He pulled out a sword. I pulled out my sniper. I shot at him, but he deflected it back at me. I shot the small chunk of metal. then I shot right at the robots hand. he dropped the blade, but he still proceeded to fight. I fired a shot into his head, instantly killing him. I then ran to help others.
Chapter 18: Sean
When I woke up, I could feel a tingling in my arm area. the rest of me felt fine, but what I found was that my arm was replaced by a cyborg arm. I tried to grab a cup of water after testing the controls on my arm, but the cup shattered, leaving water everywhere.
"Typical, I need to get out of bed." I said as I got up. I started to the hall, but only to be met by a young woman.
"Hello Mr. Ambrose. I have your diagnostics." she said,"you are going to be fine, but your arm was not savable. there is other news, your sister is here, and you are related to Mike and Joe. I'm Mikes daughter and head nurse at 15. my names Techna."
"Does that mean?"
"Yes, hello uncle Sean."
Chapter 19: mike
"Die!" I yelled as I thrust my blade nut a demons chest. I turned to meet joe.
"Hey, need help?" he asked.
"Yes, call in Johnny and Sean and tell them to bring heavy weponry." I replied.
As I said that, the ground rumbled. piles of soil in the nearby graveyard. then a gory decaying hand stuck out. a nearby soldier turned to it.
"What the?" is what he said. then a corpse flew out of the ground at him. it grabbed his shoulders and sunk his teeth into his face. there was a blood curdling screen followed by a wave of blood. then more corpses jumped out at him. joe and I were already foreign our rifles at them. then Sean and Johnny showed up, one with a mini gun and one with a chain gun. they fired a wall of bullets at the zombies. Then a violent set of rumbles had hit us. a huge spew of ashes flew up from the eternal pit. it assembled into a flaming smokey giant. It turned to us and looked us down with its molten glowing eyes.
"We need to stop that beast before it causes havoc in the base." I said."joe and I will fight the beast, you two fight off the zombie horde that's comeing." I said as a huge pile of bodies appeared.sean and Johnny laid down heavy fire as joe and I ran towards the beast behind the wall. we jo per over the wall to be met by a slab of concrete flying at us. we jumped to ether side of it and ran to the beast.
"Joe, lay down fire, I got to find a way to his head." I said.
Joe nodded and pulled out his sniper rifle. he fired a shot into the beast eye, causing it to groan in pain. I ran to the back of the giant and saw the slabs on its back.
I thought,"i think I found a way up."
I ran and jumped up the slabs and climbed my way up. the giant swiped at me, knocking the slabs below off, I was on the last slab. I pulled out my blade. I then thrust my blade into the center of its head. it cried out in pain, then started to fall. I jumped off the giant so I wouldn't touch his molten body. I landed near joe as the beast fell over with a tremendous force. It shook the ground. I nodded to joe and we moved back to the base. we saw Johnny and Sean covered in blood, but still firing at the almost gone horde.
"We need to get to them." Joe said.
I nodded. we started to the gate. we ran fast, but was met by a horrid sight. it was General John. He was still somehow alive, he had the wounds, but they seemed to have healed.
"Hello boys, nice seeing you here. I need to talk to mike, ALONE!" he yelled. he flung his arm to the right, joe went with him, but without General john touching him. joe hit a tree, knocking him out. I pulled out my blade. john followed, pulling his out as well. he started humming a song. he lunged at me, but was met by my blade. then another ting, and another. we were then locked in battle. cling after cling. then the blades jammed each other, but he was stronger than me. he flung my blade to the tree near joe. he was still out. I tried to stop his blade, but I felt the blade enter my stomach. it had exited my back. I felt him lift me, then threw me aside. he raised his blade.
"I am going to enjoy this!" he yelled as he thrust the blade down, but I heard a loud ting. I looked up, joe had stopped john with my blade.
"You soulless bastard, you won't live to see him die!" joe yelled as he thrust the blade into johns neck, cutting his head off. he ran over to me.
"Mike, oh god, we need to get you to Kyla." joe said as he heaved me up on his sholder. he ran as fast as he could to the base.
Chapter 20: Johnny
I saw joe and what looked like mike on his back running towards us.
"Kyla and Sean, come help joe and mike, mike seems to be hurt." I said. Sean and Kyla came out and handled mike to the table.
"He's lost tons of blood. put pressure here and grab that tape. she said. we patched him up, but he wouldn't stop bleeding. Kyla tried healing him with her powers, but it was no use. there was a bone chillingly long beep on the monitor. no,NO, I yelled as I slammed my fist onto mikes body.
"I'm sorry, but mike has died. I will arrange for a proper buryal." Kyla said sobbing."he was a great codon and father."
"Father?" joe asked.
"Your niece Techna, the head nurse. was mikes daughter."
"Does anyone know where she is?" Sean asked. then Techna walked in. the cry that came from her bellowed throughout the base.
"No, no no NO! she yelled as she leaped on her dad. but it still did no good.
"Techna, get down please, we need to move him somewhere safe." Kyla said.
"Protected? protected! why wasn't he protected from john!" she wailed.
"That was me Techna." joe said as he stepped up.
"No, you were his best friend newly founded and helped him alot. how did he die?" she asked sobbing.
"By the man who's soul sits in eternal hell."
"As long as he died by you."
Joe nodded and pushed mike to the morgue and lifted Techna off.
"I'm sorry." he said.
