Chapter 21: Techna
I was on a rampage. My father died to the militia's leader. my uncle joe put an end to him. I'm glad I still had family though. I left my room to go to the funeral. it was for fallen comrades and my father. I arrived to find joe, Kyla, Johnny, and Sean standing near my fathers emaculant tombstone.
"We are all gathered here to wittiness the departure of many great friends and family. and our great leader mike." a soldier said. this went on for a number of minutes." and he left a testament to Techna and Johnny. his children of adopted and true born. he left all his power to be decided equally between Techna and Johnny. Johnny was our new leader and Techna the 5 star General he was. she was also promoted to top paramedic of the base by vote of base citizens."
Johnny was in shock by the testament. I was as well. joe,kyla and Sean stood there appaled. Johnny was our new leader and Techna was the highest military power known by the U.S.
Chapter 21:Kyla
I had the duties of sealing in mikes coffin. I pulled the lever and the casket started to lower into the earth. I shed a tear as this happened. after his casket lowered, I got in the bulldozer and pushed the small mound of soil into the hole. I laid sod over the dirt and headed home.
When I got there, there was a loud cry from the cafeteria. I ran over to investigate. I walked in on a bloody mess from what seemed to be the remains of a cook. Her head was in a pot of soup nearby.
"Well, that can't be good. I need to get Johnny and the others here." I said as my comm did so for me. I heard a very soft hum from the nearby shredded vents. A human-like body figure fell down. then its joints disconnected but were still attached by muscles. It looked like a tore up rag doll trying to stand up. but it still could. it was the body of the chef who's head was in a pot. A muscle shot from the body and attached to the head. it dragged it's slightly melted head onto its shoulders. then joe arrived.
"What in the hell is that!?" he yelled as he stumbled backwards.
"As if I know. but we need to rid of it, FAST!" I yelled as Sean came in.
"Oh my god! what happened here? and is it killable?" he asked.
"I don't know, but we need to try." I said as Johnny and Techna came in.
I pulled out my sidearm and fired a round into its head. it jolted back, but there seemed to be no pain. it jolted at Sean. he grabbed it by its "neck" and flung it to the nearby wall.
"Show off." joe yelled as he shot it in the head with his rifle. it fell over dead. but there were more noises coming from the same vent as the original one. more beings like that came from the vent. we started firing at them, dropping one by one. but they kept comeing. then it stopped. we reloaded and waited. by now the soldiers on base were here and helping. a soldier went over to investigate. he looked up and screamed as he was pulled in by a hooked spear. he disappeared into the vent. then dropped down as one of the creatures. he had full body armor and his rifle. it pointed it at us and started firing his weapon. It hit soldiers behind us as we dodged oncoming fire. we all started firing at it, but it did little use. its clip finally ran out. and I took advantage of that. I ran over and grabbed the gun and loaded it. I then put it to its head and fired. killing it.
"That was close. we need to seal the hole from whatever's up there." I said.
Sean threw a Grande up there and we heard a moan as the bomb went off. blood oozed from the vent. He beckoned us to the door with his head. we walked away and went to our homes as the contamination crew came in.
Chapter 22: mike
I woke up to a burning pain. my chest had a hole in it through to my back. I tried to sit up, but was trapped. so I laid back down.
"What the? I died, but where am I?" I asked myself.
I hit the surface, breaking it instantly. dirt filled in. I clawed my way out. when I reached the surface, I was met by a blinding summer sun. I pulled myself out and started towards the main building.I was met by a soldier. he screamed and shot at me. I blacked out and went into rampage. I pulled his arm completely off and bit him in the throat. instantly killing him. I ran to the doors.
I started to my room, but was met by the creaking of a door. it was joe. he walked in front of me.
"Hey, what's happening?" I asked.
Joe slowly turned around and screamed. he pulled his sniper out and shot.
"No, that's a bad idea." I said before I blacked out. I ran at him, he fired another shot, right to the head. there wasn't even a mark left. I grabbed him and flung him to a wall. he jumped from the wall at me. pinning me to the ground. I was much larger than him. I flung him off me and landed on him. I went to grab his chest. but was met by Sean and Johnny pulling me off. they slammed me down and pinned me. but I was still to strong for me. I flipped them off and ran for the door, but was met by joe and Sean. I was also met by Johnny on my back. I fell over. I tried to move, but they were too much. They dragged me to a room and strapped me to a table.
Chapter 23: joe
I helped strap in mike and Kyla walked in. she helped me to a chair. she healed me and relocated my arm. that hurt. we walked over to mike.
"What is going on here?" she asked.
"The dead have been rising and you question why mike is here." Sean replied. they started arguing. this went on until mike yelled.
"Shut up! I have a headache." he yelled at us.
We all stopped arguing and starred at him.
"What?" he asked
"You can talk?" I asked.
"Yes? I can. why. I've always been able to." he replied.
"But your dead, you were in a hole."
