Nighttime Journey ( ON HOLD)

When Matt came home, it was already late and Matt decided to go to bed early without dinner. Exhaustion is what Matt would call it, but he was to tired to think straight.
"Matt, you don't look alright," his mother commented, "Go to bed."Matt did as he was told and started to change. 
    It was nine in the evening, which was an hour before bedtime. He lay silently in his bed and thought about the day's events.  
    "Strange," he told his mom when he was asked what happened. Matt drifted off after that.
    "Matt,"an old man in front of him started saying. He wondered where he was and why. He he'd just gone to bed and drifted off when Disney Land came into view. Matt walked over to a gray haired man and suddenly realized that the man knew his name. 
     "How do you know m..my name,"Matt mumbled, highly confused. 
    "I know many things Matt, including all the other people's names. Charlie, Nina, Rayon, and Philip. All of you will be turned to holograms and at night you will become them."
"But.."
"Patience, my boy, I know it is not what you signed up for." Matt nodded and sat down next to the old man.
"Wayne,"the man said and that was what Matt started to call him.
"Wayne, why are we going to come here every night?" Wayne sighed and started to answer back.
"Your world is in danger. Making you holograms was only a disguise. You are here to save the world from unseen dangers. You are not fully made of light though. You will always be part human when fear or happiness comes in. Beware of that." This time Matt just looked ahead and then at his arms. They were glowing, like a weak lightbulb would in the dark.Matt gave out a small yelp. Wayne just laughed.
    "How many people do you see there Matt?"
    He just squinted and replied, "None."
    "Why aren't there any?"
    "It's dark, bro,"Matt said forgetting his manners.
    "I will show you all the live things in Disney Land. Tell them to me, my boy." Wayne pointed to a small golf cart and got into the driver's seat. Matt sat next to him.
    "Matt, I chose you to be the leader of the group. You will have to find them and go to bed at the same time. That is all I can say." Wayne raised his hand to silence Matt before he could say a word.  
"I can not see the danger, that is why I chose you. I don't like to put kids in danger, but Walt had made it so only you can solve it when the time is right." Matt started to understand, with age came a lot of responsibility and that Wayne knew Walt Disney. Still, he started asking questions and Wayne read his mind.
"Yes, I knew Walt Disney like the back of my hand. We were great friends and he told me his biggest secrets. I helped him plan Disney Land and made sure it was built. I paid a great toll when we died. He left me his plans for this very place and how to defeat the evil forces. Walt knew that one day they would attack Disney Land. He let me choose you to save Disney Land."
Matt was struck with such emotion, but tried to keep his face clean of it. What he didn't want was for this old guy to think he was not fit for the challenge. He still didn't believe this was somehow real. It just couldn't be, but somehow he knew it would be real.
"Tell me why you chose me,"Matt blurted out.
"Your leadership," was what Wayne replied.
The golf cart kept moving forward silently until a rumble sounded before them.
"Captain Hook ," Wayne said under his breath. Matt turned around and Wayne was right. Captain Hook and an army of robots were behind him. One held a laser gun from on of the rides and pointed it at him. Matt ran out of the cart and started running.
Lasers shot from behind Matt nearly hit him. He ran in a zig-zag formation and tried to avoid being hit. Matt stood still and remembered that those lasers were harmless in the rides. One hit him and Matt winced in pain. He remembered Wayne's words: "The danger is real."
Matt now understood how the danger was real. Thinking fast, he picked up a branch and swiped it at the robot with the laser. It fell. Matt took it. Now holding the laser, Matt dangerously pointed it at Captain Hook. He stepped back.
With the laser, Matt disabled one robots leg and another's arm. Two were down, but there were many to go. Wayne pulled out a sword and threw it far. It landed right in front of him.
"Walt knew this would happen, so he told me to always be prepared."
Matt left all the robots disabled and then stepped back. Captain Hook then disappeared right before Matt could strike again.
When Matt walked back to Wayne, he saw him push a red button and whisper "Look at the moon Matt,look."
Matt jolted up in his bed with cold sweat breaking in. He got up and looked at the moon. It was the same as before.
