It was Thursday, and the week seemed to be flying by. I couldn't help but think of the signs of the last day. One being that the days will feel much shorter due to the people not having any blessings in their time. I made my way out of my bed, wiping the sleep out of my eyes and then quickly getting ready for another day working at Key West. I loved my job, the people there where very friendly and my manager is very lenient with me. What I didn't like was the 1 hour commute to work due to me taking the bus and metro. A car would be nice, but I have a lot of saving up to do.
The store was very crowded today. We had a 50% off deal on a selected section of the store which caught the eyes of many people who probably couldn't afford much of the clothing at full price. I took my place at the cash register checking many people out and dealing with rude customers as well. I was looking forward to my break that seemed so far away.
30 minutes later, my boss Marriane grants me my long awaited break. I quickly head towards the food court and buy myself some chipotle, then made my way back to the Lounge. I grabbed my phone and started going through notifications I had received, as well as my Twitter and Facebook. I then open my Instagram page, only to find...Harim sending me a friend request? Who could've gave him my username considering that my account is super private with only a few of my close family and friends able to follow me. I quickly came to the realization that is probably was Amirah. Of course she did. I quickly declined the friend request, but I did let my curiously get the best of me and went through his pics for a couple minutes considering that he had around 300+ photos with a large follow count. He himself was only following a couple people. Looks like many girls find him dreamy commenting heart eyes and such under his pictures. He could get any girl he wanted. As I scrolled down his feed, I made sure to be extra careful not to like ANY of his pictures at all. Don't want homeboy getting the wrong idea, or for him to think that I even had time to go through his pictures even though I clearly do. Majority of his pictures where of him with no shirt flexing for the gram. Pretty typical of him I wasn't surprised. Then there where other pictures of him and his cousin Yunus flaunting their wealth for the world to see how rich they where. I quickly became bored and tried to go back to my page, but wait! Did I accidentally tap twice on his picture... he uploaded 36 weeks ago?? My heart began to race and I browsed through all his pictures just to make sure none of them where liked by me. I told myself that I'll never be going through his page again. I finally sighed in relief . Alhamdulillah nothing was done! I quickly got off my phone and made my way back to Key West.::::::::::::::
Amirah was picking me up from work today. She insisted and told me she had some great news to ask me, but wanted to do it face to face. I just prayed to God it had nothing to do with Harim. I was already on her for giving him my Instagram username and almost having me like one of his posts he uploaded months ago. I quickly made my way to the mall parking lot in search of the red shiny car she was picking me up in. I finally spotted her and made my way towards the car. "Salams boo" she said unlocking the door. She was blasting Lil Uzi and Future "Too Much Sauce" which had the seats of the car vibrating to the base. Music was always one of my weaknesses, and a reason why I haven't been able to finish the Quran yet. The two definitely do not mix, but it was so hard to give it up. One of the struggles I have myself Subhanallah. "Wasalams" I replied fastening my seatbelt, then lowering the volume of the trap music. I felt like my ear drums would burst any moment from now. "So what's the news you have to ask me about? It better not be about Har......" No Samirah don't won't worry it's not about him" she cut in. She knew I was not playing no games. "And speaking of him, you know I saw him at the gym the other day?" I told her. She didn't look surprised and just started laughing. "Yunus told me, Harim had told him he had saw you briefly but you left quickly" she said. Looks like he spent no delay in telling his cousin about our short encounter. All I knew was that it would be his last time seeing me at the gym. Physically he was a straight 10, but I wouldn't want to develop any haram feelings with him knowing he doesn't have any boundaries himself. It would just be better for me to find a different location instead of opening the doors to things that should never be opened. "Anyways enough talk about him" I told Amirah. I was actually feeling anxious and a bit impatient at the news Amirah said she had to ask me and she kept me waiting. "Yo really, what do you have to ask me?" She could tell I was growing impatient and just laughed. "Let's get to the ice cream shop first damn girl!" She said. We where going to stop at PinHead, a local frozen yogurt shop we both loved and came out to often. She parked the car and we made our way to the shop.
