Alaya in the mm
***
Briana Harris

It's been about 4 months since Alaya had the surgery and nothing has changed. It's as if she eats even less and since she's not eating, she isn't gaining weight either.

"Dr.Hamilton she still isn't eating. I don't know what to do."

"Well Ms.Harris, what are you feeding her?"

"I feed her formula through the tube like you told me to. I do everything you tell me to."

"Well something isn't quite right. We'll have to do another surgery to take the tube out and we'll see about other options."

Her second surgery and she's only 4 months old. The doctor goes in the back to look at openings for surgery times and while he's back there I get up and walk out of the doctor's office. These doctors obviously don't know what they're doing so there's no need to keep coming back here.

Back at home, I go on Facebook and look up ways to get babies to eat.

@BrianaHarris_: Baby girl still isn't eating. Any more advice?

After a few minutes, I start getting tons of comments. I look and see new remedies and treatments. None of them stick out to me except one, holistic treatments.

These treatments and medicines will prevent what ever she has from spreading and possibly becoming worse. I look up the types of medicines and Costs of them before deciding to try that option.

As I'm printing out the paper with the list of medicines, Alaya starts crying. I rub her belly and she calms down some. "It's okay baby, mommy's going to fix it."

"Bri, are you sure this is going to work?" I went to pick up the medicines and I hooked up the IV into her arm so the medicine will go ahead and get in her system.

"There were good reviews online so I'm sure it'll work." I look down at Alaya to see her sleeping peacefully. I get up and go into the kitchen to fix myself some coffee.

"Should she be asleep for this?", Amber asks fixing her a cup.

I nod. "She's fine."

"I know you don't like to talk about this much, but if you don't mind me asking, who's Alaya's father?"

I put my mug on the counter and look at her. "I don't really want to talk about it, but I guess I can't keep this in forever. About a day or two before I left town, I was raped."

She gasps and pulls me in for a hug. "Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry. By who?"

"By my father. He's Alaya's dad. My mom just sat back and let it happen."

"Bri, that's terrible we have to tell the cops."

"NO! You can't, promise you won't say anything to anybody." I get on my knees and look up at her. "PROMISE!"

"Okay, I promise."
