Detective Christopher Williams

We press play on the computer and start watching the video. After about 10 minutes, we see Briana get up and carry Alaya into the bathroom. She then comes back out and grabs a feeding tube and tries to cover it up with a jacket.

She goes back in the bathroom and about three minutes later comes back carrying an unconscious Alaya. She lays her back on the bed and sits down and watches her as if she's waiting for something to happen. A few minutes later, her wish comes true and Alaya has her fatal seizure.

In the video you can hear her trying to vomit and screaming in pain due to the inability to vomit. That's when we shut the video off and realize that whatever Briana did in that bathroom caused the death of her 4 month old child, Alaya Harris.

7 months later...

Jacob Payne

"We the jury, find the defendant Briana Nicole Harris guilty of 1 count of manslaughter. She will be sentenced 20 years-life in prison."

Briana is then escorted to the back and doesn't look at any of us. I still can't believe that this was the same Bri that I met back in first grade. I don't know what happened to her but I guess everything happens for a reason, right?

It turns out Briana lied about everything. Even the fact that Jayceon wasn't Alaya's father. The paternity test results came back and it turns out he was indeed the father. Too bad he never got to experience what it's like being a father.

As we're walking out of the courtroom, I hear someone call my name. I turn around and almost pass out at the sight in front of me. I see Detective Williams holding an, alive and well, Chaylin in his arms.

I run up to them and grab Chaylin out of his arms and spin her around. She giggles and says, "hey daddy." The sound of her voice is enough to make me cry.

"How did this happen? I thought she was-"

"Turns out she was carrying a baby doll when she jumped. Chaylin was found in a box on the step of a Foster home. We thought it'd be right if we returned her to you. DNA test show that Robert Harris nor you are the father of this child so we don't know who her father is. But, if you want to adopt her, I can put in a good word for you down at the adoption agency."

"Thanks so much Detective. I would love to adopt her." After he gives me contact information to the agency, everyone decides to go out to eat to celebrate justice for Alaya and Chaylin being home.

When I found out that Alaya was mine I was so hurt. Hurt at the fact that I wasn't able to meet her and be a father to her. I was angry at Briana for, not only lying to me and everyone else, but for killing such an innocent person.

I cut off all ties with Rodney, for good this time. Seeing the way Briana changed showed me that people can turn on you real quick and besides, I don't need all the negativity in my life.

I don't know what's next for me, but I do know  that from here on out I am a changed person. Only positivity and tranquility over here.

"I'm attorney Derek Greene and I've reviewed your case and I don't think you had a fair case. So I'm going to try and get you a fair trial."

I smile and nod. They thought they could get rid of me so easily, well they thought wrong. Briana Harris isn't going down without a fight.
