But I'm still sitting in my AP history class staring at my guy best friend and crush Sasha Matthews, waiting for him to notice me.

Here we are again in the law firm bored out of our minds.
Brooklyn is spinning in her seat as I stare at the ground with such fascination.
"Yo, we should do prank calls again. Maybe we'll get into a groupchat with Nick Robinson," Brook jokes.
I don't reply to her. She stops her chair as it rolls to face me.
"You okay April? You seem down."
"Fine."
"We all know that 'fine' in girl lingo is not fine," she remarks.
