We landed in Virginia yesterday morning and spent the whole day settling into the hotel rooms. April and I's dad left to work on their case this morning.

"What should we do today?" Tori asks.

"I'm not sure," I say, "But I think we should figure out how we're going to get to North Carolina."

"Brook has a good point. We made it this far yet we don't have a ride," April points out.

Tori thinks for a moment, "Okay, so let's text Jacob and Weston. Maybe one of them can give us a ride."

"Great idea."

We whip out our phones and get into the groupchat.

Brook: losers we need help

Nathan: nope

April: kay.

Nathan: k

Tori: anyway. brook, april, and i are in Virginia and don't have a ride to NC yet

Jacob: my mom and i could probably take you guys

Weston: yay i get to see tori and daddy jacob

April: ouch.

Brook: yeah what am i?

Tori: thx jacob that'd be great

Jacob: she agreed but she wants to meet you girls first

Brook: well we're free all day so give us an address and we'll be there

April: we don't have a car remember? the whole reason we're in this mess?
