                                              A perfect family,
But only on the outside,
Little do they know,
Our image is full of lies.
                          At night a daughter cries,
During the day she's in fear,
She cannot be herself,
Her crying no one can hear.
                          A son who cannot trust,
Scared to let a soul in,
Because no one seems to understand,
What is going on with him.
                          Parents that don't get it,
Blinded by their own eyes,
Their children are screaming,
But they don't hear their cries.
                          Pictures hang on the wall,
Everyone wears a smile,
Little do you know,
Those only last for a short while.
                          A perfect family,
That's what we are,
A perfect family,
With each and every scar.
