The words wouldn't come out, but the tears did. "How could they leave like that?" You ask yourself, watching them walk away. Streams of tears turn into sobs and all thoughts become incoherent; you don't know what you want, except for having them tell you it was a joke, that they still love you. Your mind floods with all of the things you did together, with every word spoken, with every passionate, loving moment. What happened to all of that? What changed? You search endlessly for your mistake to make yourself better for them, only to realize they've already moved on. It's hopeless, it's agonizing, it's heartbreak.
