Chapter 16: Sabotage

Oh how it would be nice if we weren't super heroes. Adrien still hasn't gone home for a while now. I really which his relation with his dad improved.

We still had to figure out a way to stop HawkMoth.. without hurting Adrien as well. His dad is starting to get suspicious of his actions. I really love having Adrien stay here with me... but he has to go home at some point.

Adrien had fencing classes to attend; so I started to devise a plan. We know where he is. He knows where we are. He seems to be bound to his little terrarium of butterflies. We get to move freely....

My phone started to buzz. I assumed it was Adrien so I answered without hesitation.

"HALLO ADRI----"

"Hello, Ladybug."

His harsh, cold voice spoke in the microphone. I knew who it was. I admired Mr. Agreste for his work. I know his true side now - his dark side. I always wondered why he was so secretive and kept to himself. I knew the answer now; but that's irrelevant.

"Where is my son? I would love to have.... him back."

"LIAR. How could you do that to your own son? For heaven's sake you don't even know what will happen. You only wish to have his miraculous in hopes to obtain this "wish" you have."

"YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME. This matter is to be kept within family range. You're not part of this family. Haven't your parents told you about "minding your own busine--"

I couldn't let him finish that sentence. My duty as a superhero is too protect everyone from harm. I couldn't allow my parents to get involved in this. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. I blocked the number and followed my plan.

Once it was all sorted out, Adrien was done with his fencing class. I told him about my plan. He said he would come as soon as possible so I started to wait.

My plan would be a great success and we would be able to stop HawkMoth without harming Adrien.

ORIGINALLY, my plan WOULD have worked. I was sabotaged. Somehow, Mr. Agreste was able to intervene the call. I guess he was ready as well. We all know his plan would end up harming someone in the process.

Adrien was taken hostage by his own father?? Does that even make sense? He's a merciless jerk.

It would be much safer if I came as Ladybug. I will have access to my "Lucky Charm" if things start heading south. It wa stupid ; it was wrong. It would make it much easier for him to take my miraculous.

I jumped out of my window and started to head towards his lair. Each leap forward meant that I was losing time to devise a better strategy. The citizens below me looked up at me. They smiled and waved at me everytime. If they knew how hopeless and lost I was now; they would lose hope on the protectors of Paris.

Before I knew it, I arrived at his hideout - without a plan... I didn't have time for anything so I crashed through the window. The gloomy room seemed to have changed since the last time we were here.

He seemed to have been caught off guard. He looked at me; confused and distraught. He was gonna cause mischief.

"STOP RIGHT THERE HAWKMOTH."

Hallo! Not as long as the previous chapter. This may or may not be the before last chapter of this book. I'm moving in a couple of days and it's 1:36AM.... I should really sleep. Like right now.... I didn't want to force all the hype in one chapter so you get this instead ^.^ Thank you to those who stuck with me the entire time.

Question: Once I finish this book, should I make another Miraculous Book?
