Lilly's P.O.V.
Then he takes my face in his hands, crashing his lips to mine.
And just like that, I get lost in his lips.
It's passionate, and the hottest kiss I've ever had. I’m not aware of what my body’s doing at the moment since all I’m thinking about is his lips on mine.
His mouth forces mine open, and the movements of his tongue sends a current running through my body.
When he pulls away to breathe, I see that we somehow ended up on the floor in front of my bed. I don’t even know how that happened!
Eager for his lips, I kiss him after only a few seconds of breathing.
I finally become aware of my body and what it’s doing. My hands are gripping his hair, while my legs are straddling his legs.
When we need to breathe again, we pull away from each other. My chest rises as I let out heavy breaths. I open my eyes to see Carter lean into me and trail his lips down my neck. My eyes close again at the feeling.
“Carter.” I moan.
My eyes pop open when his name leaves my mouth, and I’m brought back into reality. I put my hands on Carter’s shoulder, and push him away from me.
He looks confused.
I stand up, looking down at Carter in horror. I put a hand over my mouth, partly because I can still feel it tingling.
“Carter! What are we doing?” I ask panic.
He turns his head so I can’t see his expression.
“Oh my god! Carter. I am so sorry! This shouldn’t have happened. This isn’t supposed to happen!” I continue while running a hand through my hair and closing my eyes, feeling a headache coming on.
“Why not?” I hear him ask quietly.
“Carter we’re friends! You’re my best friend. And-and Callum…” Oh my god! Callum! I’m kissing Carter while I’m dating Callum. I am so wrong right now!
“Right. How could I forget? You have Mr. Perfect.” He gets off the floor, and walks to the door.
I grab his wrist, yanking him around. “Carter, don’t be like this. I’m sorry! I am so sorry. I can’t lose you. We-we just made a mistake, right?” I plead desperately.
“Is that what it was to you then?” He looks at me with anger. “A mistake?” He shakes his head.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean that-“
“No, but you did.”
My mind is completely muddled and I don’t know what to think. I scramble for something to say. I open my mouth, hoping something will come out but I get nothing.
“Goodbye Lilly.”
He walks out my room. I follow him just saying his name, “Carter.”
He stops a few feet from my door. He turns around, and I notice the expression on his face as hurting.
“How do you not see it? How do you not FEEL it? I mean, can you honestly say that you didn’t feel it a few minutes ago?”
I look down. How do I explain this to him? How we’re not supposed to be together like that. We’re FRIENDS!
“It’s just…Carter…you’re…y-you’re Carter.” I fail at explaining.
He nods his head. “And I’m not Mr. Perfect.”
