**CARTER'S P.O.V.**
To be honest, I feel like I can do anything right now. Tell me to run a marathon, and I'll say sure no problem! Tell me to hike up Mount Everest, and I'll respond saying thats too easy. Tell me to swim from here to China, I'll tell you it's a piece of cake. Tell me that I have to confess my feelings to Lilly? Guess what? I'll tell you I'm ready.
I'm gonna do it! I feel confident right now, sitting on the bleachers, holding her hand. Like I said. I feel I could do anything.
I open my to mouth to speak but stop when I hear a familiar deep voice behind me.
I look at Lily's face change as she drops her smile. Her eyes widen a little as she looks behind me. Slowly, I turn around hoping I don't see what I think I'm going to see. But sure enough, there he is.
Callum smiles at her, and waves as he continues to come our way. The moment to tell her is completely carried away by the knight and shinning armor known as Callum, who evidently is also carrying away the princess.
Did I just make metaphor involving Callum as a prince and Lilly as a princess?
I'm losing it.
I feel her hand slide out from mine.
When he reaches us, he says, "Hey guys." He reaches to give Lilly a kiss. She turns her head slightly and his mouth catches only the corner of hers.
He takes a seat on the other side of her while she says, "I didn't know you'd be here." She gives him a tight smile.
"Yeah. I try to come to all of Ian's games. This one's a big one! It's a do or die game!"
Her face softens and I watch her tight lipped smile becomes genuine one. "Aww. You're such a good big brother."
"Yeaaah. I guess so." He grins.
He turns to the game, cheering for Ian.
Lily looks down at her lap. Then her eyes lock on my eyes. Oh god her eyes are so amazing. They are dark green, and I swear its like they shine whenever she smiles. Even when we were little I loved her eyes. However now they aren't shining. She looks away from me and I watch as her eyes roam the whole gym. She looks around yet doesn't seem to actually be looking at anything. She seems to be thinking really hard.
"Is something wrong?" Callum asks her.
She jumps slightly at his voice, instantly putting on a smile. "Yeah-no, I'm fine."
"Are you sure?" He asks again.
She nods repeatedly. "Yeah.
"All right then." Callum grins. I watch as he grabs her hand confidently bringing it to his lips, kissing it. Why the hell didn't I think of that. Actually, I don't think I'm bold enough to do that.
Lilly abruptly stood up. Callum and I looked at her as she opened her mouth. "Um, I-I have...to pee." As soon as she finished the sentence she closes her eyes and shakes her head. I laugh softly at her statement. She's so strange. "I'll be back." She started to make her way down the bleachers.
Great. I look at Callum. At least I'm not pressured to make awkward conversation with him because he seems genuinely into the game.
I was glad but then I curse the freaking world because he turns to me, smiling. "So how's it going?"
NO! My throat closes like it does when most people try talking to me, but this is different because I actually don't want to talk to this guy.
I give him a shrug.
