Date time

When I get home 30 minutes after the phone rings and to see who it was I picked up. The smiley face of Leo was on the front starring at me. I touch the talk button and say "hello?"

"Hey I was just wondering if you would like to go on a date tonight?" He says in a deep voice.

"Sure,what time?" I say trying to consume my excitement.

"Around 8:30"he says.

" I would love to Leo" I say.

After the phone call I run up the stairs and go to my room,grabbing a towel and my robe heading for the bathroom. when I get out from the shower I look at the time to see it was 6:45pm. I blow dry my hair and curled my hair. I go back to my room to see what clothes I have, I open my closet and pick out a white shirt with ruffles and jean shorts and a brown belt. I'm thinking we're going to the beach so I put a bathing suit under my clothes. The time is 7:38pm so I deiced to grab my phone off the counter in the kitchen and call Leo. after the second ring his voicemail comes on and I shut the phone. back upstairs I finish my outfit with earring and a neckless I got from Kendal as a birthday present last year. the minutes go by very slow. I go back down to the kitchen to make myself some dinner because my mom works around Canada so while I'm here she out traveling. I call her but she doesn't pick up "hi mom it's just Alex. I'm just going to read some of my book then go to bed. goodnight bye ." I say into the phone.i hate to lie to her but if I give her something to worry about she'll come home and I like my freedom. I make myself a bowl of rice and wait for the time to pass. It's around 8:30pm and I wait in the living room and while I sit on the couch I pick up my iPod. I skim through the apps and find the music. I put on "girlfriend" by Avril Lagine. The doorbell rings, I get up and start putting on my flip flops. I open the door and look at Leo who is at the bottom of the steps. He puts a hand out for me to take as I walk down the steps. he walks me to his car which is a 2008 challenger with a paint job of bright orange and a pin stripe of black to match the interior. He opens the door and I get in. he goes to his side and strolls around his car. He sits in the driver's seat when I see there was a scar behind his left ear. Leo turns the car over and it starts, as we drive along I hear my favourite song "radioactive" by imagine dragons. I start singing the words in my head and that's when I hear a faint sound of the rhythm beside and it was Leo humming along. I reach my hand over the nub that turns up the volume. crank it almost all the way and I shouting out the words so loud I bet people in china can hear me! I turn my head to see Leo doing the same thing I'm doing. he looks so cute with those green eyes and dirty blond hair to match. I just kept thinking of a way why would he pick me. A few minutes later we stop in a parking lot and I turn my head to make our eyes meet.

"I will have to blind fold you" he says.

"What? why do you have to do that?" I say as to why he has to blind fold me.

"Because there's a secret place I'm taking you" he says as he runs his hand through his curly blond hair.

"I don't believe" I say looking away from his face.

"Fine we'll just go back to your-"he says as I stop him by hold his wrist. his head lifts up to meet my easy eyes and I rub my thumb over his wrist.

"I'll do it" I say with very unstable yes, unsurely he puts the blindfold over my eyes and I see blackness. I can feel the tightness behind my head. the sound of the car door opens and I feel a hand grabbing my hands that are in my lap. Leo helps me out of the car by pulling my hands and I step out from the car. a few steps later I can feel a slight hands coming from my left shoulder and moving across my back to the right side of my waist.

"Now take your shoes off"he says in my left ear. I push my shoes of my feet and I can feel the cold sand in-between my toes. the tight not behind my head starts to loosen and falls off my face down around my neck, i see the blueness of the ocean and a small picnic blanket laying on the sand. he grabs my hand and pulls me over to the small blanket and we sit down together keeping our hands intertwined, I wasn't thinking of letting go any time soon. As soon as we were done we walked along the beach and watched the sun as it went down. Leo drove me home.

"So... Leo I heard that you were on the basketball team? are you going to be on the basketball team next year?"I ask him. he was on the basketball team last year, he was the captain and he had this thing about him that made him look like he could do anything and win anything.

"Yeah, I was, but I'm not going to be on the team next year." he says as he looks down at his wrist which he was playing with his bracelet.

"Why?" I ask him.

"Well, I'm just taking a break from all that. I was just wondering what are you going to do next year?"he lifts his head from the ground and he grabs my hand which intertwined.

"I don't know what I'm going to do yet." I say.
