The crew was on a mission on Lothal to steal some supplies. It was actually going well for a change. Kanan and Ezra were shooting stormtroopers, giving the rest of the crew time to load the crates onto the Ghost. Then Ezra heard a voice that was vey familiar to him....
"Okay Look, I need this crate of supplies"Someone said quite some distance from Ezra but he could still hear it. The voice came from behind a nearby pile of empty crates that were blocking his view.
"No way"Ezra muttered
"What no way"Kanan asked while shooting, glancing at the younger boy beside him
"Kanan can you countinue shooting bucket heads ?"Ezra asked very quickly as he already started moving and dodging the shots to get to the source of the voice. He knew his Master could handle it.
"Sure...WAIT NO"Kanan yelled but it was too late, Ezra had already made a distance from him
The raven haired boy went behind the crates, quickly peeking and looking for the familiar voice. Then he saw who it is. It was his old enemy that stole from him all the time when Ezra was on the streets. It looked like his enemy was in trouble, a stormtrooper was pointing his blaster at him. The other boy must have used the chaos to get some crates. Ezra saw that the crew was standing at the ramp, still shooting back at the troopers but also looking for Ezra. Kanan's voice was heard from the com-link calling "Spectre 6" and "Where are you". Ezra wanted to run back to the ghost but something stopped him as he looked at his enemy in trouble.
"Remind me why I'm doing this"Ezra said and shot the stormtrooper that was pointing the blaster at the other boy.
"Mark! Are you okay?"Ezra asked and ran to Mark(Mark is Ezra's enemy)
"Wow..Thanks Ezra"Mark answered back
"Just for the record this doesnt change anything"Ezra said as Mark immedietly felt offended
"Hey, My parents said I can steal. That was the only way for us to live..."Mark said, his dad did own a shop but it wasnt doing that well.
"Oh yeah and a good idea was to steal from an orphan"Ezra rolled his eyes reffering to himself as Mark stayed silent. He turned around to the crew that was still there trying to find him while his com-link was blasting with Kanan's voice "Spectre 6 get over here now ! Sabine's present is about to blow up !"
"Okay...ugh come on Mark"Ezra said gesturing Mark to follow him
"Really ?, you're going to help me to get out of trouble ?"Mark asked in disbelief
"You wanna die ? Then be my guest"Ezra answered but Mark thought for a second muttering "fine" as he followed the raven haired boy. Suddenly Ezra heard Kanan's voice from the com-link "Spectre 6 take cover now !!" Kanan shouted. The raven haired boy turned and heard the ticking of bombs "Karabast" he muttered as the bombs went off. They were timed this time and Sabine wasnt able to control them. As the bombs went off Ezra pushed Mark down, protecting him. Thankfully some crates were there to protect Ezra. As soon as the bombs calmed down, Ezra got up with Mark. The raven haired boy muttered "Still...doesnt..change..anything". It was clear he had a hard time speaking, there still must have been ringing in his ears. Then a voice was heard from Ezra's com-link,
"Spectre 6 are you alright ?!"Kanan asked, he seemed to be panicked
"I'm..okay..im okay"Ezra answered a lot more clearly now as he turned to Mark "If I get yelled at it's your fault"
"Good work Spectre 5" Ezra said, teasing Sabine
"Spectre 6 you get over here now...and thank you"Sabine answered back to him
"Guys get to the Ghost !"Hera said over the com-link. Ezra was about to leave but felt someone grab his arm, it was Mark "Umm Ezra...can I, you know....stay...with your crew untill the situation calms down ?"
The raven haired boy just stood there looking at the person in front of him as he sighed picking up his com-link "Spectre 6 to spectre 2, we will have a bonus person on board"
"Don't tell me it's a baby"Hera said as there was a faint voice of Kanan saying "What ??" in the distance
"Close"Ezra said and shut down his com-link "Heyy"Mark said annoyed at the other boy's comment
The two went to the Ghost ramp where Zeb was gesturing them to hurry up while the smoke was covering them. They ran inside as Kanan just stared at the scene in front of him. The Ghost flew up and shortly after entered hyperspace.
ON THE GHOST (At the ramp) IN HYPERSPACE....
"Okay so what's this about ?"Kanan asked turning to look at Ezra.
"Well-"Ezra didn't finnish as Sabine protectively stood in front of him and pointed at Mark "Who are you"
"This is Mark.....my acquaintance from the streets"Ezra said crossing his arms
Then Hera came on the ramp immedietly running to the younger raven haired boy"Ezra are you hurt ??"
The younger immedietly gave her a smile saying "Dont worry im alright". Hera sighed in relief "Next time obey orders will you ?"Ezra nodded very quickly. The female twi'lek then turned around to the other boy "And you are..?"
"...I'm Mark"
"Nice to meet you kiddo"Hera said in a calm voice but she saw at the corner of her eye that Ezra had just rolled his eyes in annoyance. Probably because Mark was just existing there.
"Do you guys not like eachother or something?"Sabine asked curious
"He stole from me"Ezra answered in a flash
"I was only doing it because my familiy didn't have enough money"Mark said
"I had no family and no one to take care of me. You just thought I was easy prey to do all the stealing for you so you can steal it from me afterwards !"Ezra said obviously very angry
Everyone looked down for a second. They knew that when Ezra gets angry in a matter of seconds, it really touched a nerve.
"Well why are you on the ship ?"Hera asked
"I was thinking.....I can stay here for a day or two untill the chaos calms down"Mark said. Hera felt a little bad for the boy. He was trying to get away from the chaos they kinda caused.
"That's fine with me. Ezra you'll be sharing the room with Mark and Zeb will sleep in the med-bay for the time being"Hera said turning to the two
"What ??" Ezra asked, He heard her just fine though.
"You'll be sharing the room with Mark, or you will be sleeping in the med-bay"Hera said in a strict tone. She understood Ezra's reasoning but the kid had to be somewhere. Ezra paused for a while but then answered "Fine..."
