Days were passing by and Hayley was now staying at Lisa's house. She was very kind woman, always smiling, listening, understanding. Hayley spent a lot of time talking to her, listening to stories about Chris and Scarlett, they laughed and also cried many times together. But tears helped them to release their pain and sadness. Hayley told her story of how they met and how they visited her patisserie in the night.

"You know, I noticed changes in his behaviour," Lisa said, "he was humming, smiling, he was very happy. He said, that he will tell me everything, when the right time will come," she looked sadly at her granddaughter in her arms.
"I am sorry, I didn't meet you earlier," Hayley whispered.
"Everything has its reason. I believe there is something bigger than us, leading and guarding us." Lisa always knew what to say and Hayley tried to be around her as much as she could.

Hayley and Violette's relationship was still colder than it should be. Hayley spent more time with her, but she couldn't find a way to her. She talked about it with Lisa and her psychiatrist and they recomended the same thing - give it a time. Violette was a beautiful girl, her blue eyes very like the brightest sky in summer and she had wonderful smile.

One day Hayley was sitting next to the cradle, watching her daughter.
"What are you guys doing?" Scarlett entered the room.
"Just trying to figure out, if she look more like me or like Chris," Hayley said.
"Well, she definitely has his eyes," Scarlett smiled, "and your nose."
"Yes," Hayley chuckled.
"Listen, I was wondering... I am going to the town, I would like to go to the hairdresser and visit few shops, so would you like to join me?" Scarlett asked her.
"Well, yes," Hayley said avidly.
"I already asked mom, she will take care of Violette." "Could you watch her for a sec?" Hayley asked went to her room and opened her purse. "Look, I have this customer card at this beauty parlor. I used to be there every week. I think they will still accept it, so we can go there, if you want." "Great!" Scarlett clapped her hands enthusiastically, "girl's day it is! I'm looking forward!" "Me too," Hayley smiled.

"So, you're thinking about changing colour, huh? Have you already picked one?" Hayley was sitting next to Scarlett in a car.
"I was thinking I could try a red one or ginger or something like that."

"It will look great on you," Hayley smiled. "

I just hope, that Lisa is okay with baby-sitting Violette again," she sighed. "Are you kidding?" Scarlett laugh. "She keeps telling everyone, that she is grandmother. And she loves her so much, she is her only granddaughter and with me being such a looser when it comes to relationships, I think she won't have another grandchild ever."

"Bad choices?" Hayley looked at her with sympathy in her eyes. "Yeah, you can say it like that." "Listen... And how about Seb?" Hayley asked her. "What about him?" "Don't you tell me, that you haven't notice that look in his eyes and whenever he comes to our place or to patisserie he's always asking if your there." "I... I mean..." Scarlett blushed, "I've had a crush on him since I met him. But I was never able to say something or imply, you know?"
"Do you want me to push him in the right direction?" Hayley smirked. "No! Maybe... I don't know," Scarlett stammered. "Let me do it," Hayley kept persuading her. "Fine," she finally agreed. "Perfect!" Hayley said excitedly.

After whole afternoon at hairdresser and manicure, they went shopping and had a lunch together. They lauhed, they talked and Hayley felt alive after a long time. When they got home, Hayley noticed Sebastian's jacket in the lobby.

"Could you excuse me?" she left Scarlett and found him in the kitchen. "Hi Seb," she smiled at him. "Hayley," he opened his eyes widely, "wow, you look great!" "Thank you, Scarlett took me to the hairdresser. My hair was total disaster lately. Anyway, wait to see Scarlett, she got new colour and she looks amazing!" she smirked. "She would look gorgeous even with an old cap on her head," he smiled dreamily. "Hey, why don't you ask her for a date?" she asked him directly. "What? There is no way, she would agree," he got nervous. "Oh, really? Hey, trust me on this. Give it a try, don't waist your time. Life is too short for us to wait and not moving forward. And she won't wait forever," Hayley grabbed his hands and looked straight to his eyes. "You're right," he inhaled and exhaled deeply. "Go, she's in the living room," she smiled and left him.

Hayley entered her room, Violette was sleeping, baby monitor next to her cradle. Hayley looked at her and thought about her own words. "Maybe part  of loving is learning to let go," she whispered for herself and she took Chris' photo to her hand. "Maybe I should finaly let you go," tear dropped on the picture's frame.

Next day in the evening Sebastian came to pick up Scarlett for a date.

"So, what do you think?" he asked nervously. White shirt and tie suited him well.

"You look great! Don't be nervous! It's Scarlett!"

"Yeah, that's why I am so nervous. I don't wanna mess it up."

"Just be yourself, Seb. And everything will be okay," she smiled at him. "Oh, here is she," she looked behind him.
"Wow, Scarlett... You... You look great!" Sebastian sighed. Lisa entered a room with Violette in her arms. "Have fun you two," she said with happiness in her eyes. They left and Lisa said: "I thought they will never find a courage to do it. My God, thank you, Hayley, that you pushed them to the right direction!"

"My pleasure," Hayley laughed. "Listen, Lisa," she said after a while, "I would like to ask you, if you could take care of Violette tomorrow. There is something I have... I must do... And... I can't take her with me..."
"Is everything okay, honey?" Lisa watched her observationally. "Yes, I just don't wanna talk about it right now." "I believe you and I will take care of her," Lisa held her hand. "Tea?" Hayley asked with relief in her voice. "That would be great, thank you."

Next day Hayley left the house in the morning. She was away whole day and the truth is, that Lisa became worried. "Relax, mom. I believe she really has something to do, she is okay," Scarlett tried to calm her down, but she was worried too, because Hayley never left them for such a long time.

It was late night, when the door opened and she appeared in the hallway. She took off her jacket and went to the Lisa's room. She was lying in her bed, Violette was next to her. Hayley watched them for a second and then came closer and took Violette to her arms. She began whining a little. "It's okay baby girl, it's me. It's mom. I am here and I will never leave you, you hear me? I will never hurt you again and I will be always for you. Always," she whispered and kissed her head gently.

She went to her room and closed the door, sat on the bed and cuddle her daughter. Lisa was sitting on her bed, tears in her eyes. She has a baby monitoring on her night table and she was listening to a gentle voice full of love and goodness. She was listening to the beautiful melody, that Hayley was humming to her daughter.
