Chapter Ten: I had stolen the innocence of Kayla Grace Williams. -
I ran around like a chicken without a head, packing bags of clothes, finding every last penny in the house. For hours, i though carefully about what i wanted to take and what wasn't nessicary. I packed laundry stuff, money, and Cam went to his house and loaded his car with things he could pawn off for gas money.
I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. I knew everything would be okay. Everything would be perfect.
I spent the next hour, after my four douffel bags and a suit cae were packed, writing a letter to Jacob.
Dear Jake,
I love you so much. I don't mean to hurt you by leaving, but it's something I have to do. I wanna be with someone that means a lot to me, and it'll make me happy if you try not to worry too much. I'll write you as soon as I get to my destination.
Love you,
Kayla
"Come on," Cam whispered in my ear as he picked up two of my duffel bags. We walked through the empty house, and I left the note on the spare room door that Jacob was sleeping behind.
We ran out of the house, and packed Cam's little car to the roof.
"So, what's the hosue like?" I asked abotu thirty minutes into the car ride. I had my money packed up, and we were on our way to a pawn shop in Atlanta that Cam said we could get about three grand out of all the electronic stuff he brought to sell.
We were on a scenic highway that road along side the ocean, and i had to tear my eyes away from the window to look at Cam for a response.
"It's huge. My friend that owns it is rich. His names William. He's like a brother to me," He said, thinking. "It's got a hot tub, and a giant kitchen, and huge fire place and everything. You're going to love it,"
I smiled at the thought. I wondered if i had any bathing suits packed, because as i went back to think about it, I didn't remember having one.

I fell asleep only after an hour into the car ride. I woke up to the sound of Cam's voice. "Yeah, we're on our way out there," "Her name is Kayla," "Don't worry about it,"
I squinted against the darkness that surrounded me, blinking a few times and assuring myself i wasn't dreaming.
"Yeah. Something like that," I heard Cam's voice again.
I sat up, the blanket falling off my shoulders and leaving me cold. It took me a moment to realize i was in a bed. I peered around the dark room and saw a T.V, a couch, a table, a bedside table, and a microwave. We were in a motel room.
I stuck my toes out of bed and walked in the direction to where i heard Cam's voice coming from. There was a balcony with two sliding glass doors and one was open. The moonlight was shining through the open glass door, signalling it was night out.
"Alright, Take care," I heard Cam's voice say.
I tip toed across the room and peeked outside. Cam was leaning on the banaster, looking out over the balcony smoking a ciggerette. I admired him for a moment before i stepped out and put a hand on his arm.
