Chapter Eleven- we ended up hitch hiking.
Lemme tell you, driving with a sleeping passenger was boring. By the time we'd reached Nashville, Id memorized every song on Cam's MP3 player. Which is weird, because they were all REALLY heavy rock music. With the screaming, and such. At first it gave me a headache, but now i kind of like it.
I went ahead and drove to Louisville, Kentucky. Cam was still sleeping and he hardly got any last night. When he did wake up, though, we were halfway between louisville and Nashville so i had to pull over at a rest stop after he demanded that he drives the rest of the way.
"I'm gunna go get something to eat," I told him, skipping around to the opposite side of the mustang where Cam was bent over the hood, messign around with all the various hoses and plugs. "Want me to get you anything?"
Either he ignored me, or he was so concentrated in his thoughts that he didn't hear me.
"Hello...?" I asked, drawing out this word as if he couldn't understand. "Ugh, fine," I turned around and began to march away, before i felt his hand grab mine, and he twirled me into his arms hard. Even though theimpact knocked the windo out of me, and he stumbled backwards a few steps into the mustang, we were both laughing as hard as we could.
"I'll take a bag o' Funions," He said, shoving a dollar bill into my back pocket. I laughed even harder, shoving him off me.
"All you want is Funions? Did you eat at the hotel? Shouldn't i get you a sub or something?"
Returning his attention back to the engine of the car. He shook his head. "Nah, I'm good. Just get yourself something big. I just want a bag of Funions," He repeated.
I was a little bit concerned, but whatever. I'll just get a foot long sandwhich and save the other half for him. He'll be hungry later.

"I can't help it. I just think that if they could talk, in actual, ya know, human voices, I just bet they'd be stupid," Cam said.
We'd been on this disscusion about dolphins for the past hour.
I made a face. "Cam, do you realize dolphins are the smartest animals on this planet?" I asked him.
He shrugged his shoulders. "They remind me of clowns,"
"They're brains are bigger than ours,"
"And yet they're still stupid people,"
"But they wouldn't all be stupid,"
That's when the car made this little kaplop kind of noise, and we stopped moving.
"Cam, please tell me you did that,"
"I knew this was gunna happen,"
"So you didn't do it,"
"Did you really think i did? Come on, you have to get out so i can push the damn car outta the road," He cursed under his breath as i did as he asked, getting out and nervously chewing on my fingernails. We were in the middle of no where inbetween Louisville Kentucky and Indianapolis, Indiana, on a little backroad with hardly any other drivers on it, in the day that was rather quickly transforming into night.
I realized Cam was pushing the mustang with all his strenght, and i ran to his side to attepmt to help.
Once we got the mustang off the road, even though i doubt i helped at all, Cam was still thankful.
