The guild looked through the glass ball to see that Gray and Juvia were still fighting the mighty demon Deliora. Little did they know their dynamic trio, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy were on their way to help.
Gray and Juvia kept fighting with everything they had.
"Water Slicer!"
"Ice make: Hammer!"
But nonetheless they started to realize that their attacks were growing weaker.
"Is that really all you maggots have for me?" Deliora teased.
"Gray-sama..." Juvia panted.
"Yea I know...my magic is starting to deplete too," Gray huffed.
"Shall we keep fighting Gray-sama?" Juvia asked him.
"I'm not leaving until this bastard is dead at my feet," Gray sighed.
Juvia nodded as she charged back at Deliora with Gray.
"Why won't you flies stay down!?" Deliora hollered as he slashed at them.
Gray dodged every strike as he grew ice shards along his forearm, striking Deliora in the stomach.
"Agh!" Deliora held his gut and winced in pain.
Blood started trickling into the ice on Gary's body.
"Like I said, I'm not leaving until I put you down," Gray said with his eyebrows furrowed.
"Juvia is worried. I wouldn't dare question my precious Gray-sama. Yet, Gray-sama is losing energy," Juvia thought to herself.
"Gray-sama!"
He turned around to see she had her hand stretched out for him to grab.
"Good idea," Gray praised.
He slowly grabbed her hand as they both started to focus on their own magical powers, ready to attack as one.
Deliora laughed,
"Is this some kind of joke? Both of you at once?! You humans are ridiculous!"
A surge of waves started to swirl behind them as they both started to glow. The waves started to form millions of clear and tiny icicles behind them.
Deliora's face started to sweat,
"This power...it almost exceeds mine."
"Ice make: Lance!"
"Water nebula!"
They both shouted as the same time, finally releasing their attack upon Deliora.
"Master, I think they might win!" Levy said as they all still looked through the lacrima.
He smiled,
"Yep, they got 'em!"
Deliora screamed in pain as a bright light engulfed the giant demon. Juvia and Gray propelled the last of their energy as Deliora began to shrink back down to size and back to a human. The human host fell to his knees and crashed to the ground. Gray and Juvia panted loudly as they both sunk their shoulders and looked at one another.
"Gray-sama, we did it-" Juvia was stopped as Gray wrapped his arms around her.
She couldn't help but blush as she rested her hands on his back.
"I guess you didn't need us after all," a voice said.
Gray and Juvia looked to the side to see Natsu, Lucy and Happy walking towards them.
Gray quickly let go with a red flush to his cheeks,
"Uh, Natsu. What are you doing here?"
"Well, I asked Happy to fly us to you guys. I thought you would need help but, I guess not."
"So I- I had to carry Lucy for nothing...?" Happy slowly asked in exhaustion.
"Will you quit with the weight jokes?!" Lucy yelled at him.
"Sorry Happy, I should have trusted you Gray," Natsu admitted.
"And Juvia," Lucy added.
Juvia smiled.
"Man I wish I could've got a hit in," Natsu sighed.
"Yea I bet you do," Gray scoffed.
Juvia felt a strange presence as she slightly moved her head and looked at the man on the ground. An eerie black smoke left the body. As the others were busy chatting, Juvia started to slowly approach the man.
There was a slight scream. They all turned around to see Juvia staring down a figure of black smoke with a purple aura.
"Juvia!" Lucy yelled.
Juvia started to run, for she had no magic left to fight with.
Without hesitation the figure blasted out a beam of darkness, hitting Juvia directly.
"Gray-sam-"
They all stood in shock as Juvia fell to the ground with blood trickling down her mouth.
"Juvia!!" Gray screamed as he ran to her.
Natsu and Lucy stood in awe along with Happy.
Gray got to her and saw her eyes were shut.
"Juvia...juvia!" he kept calling.
He shook her lightly,
"Juvia please!
There was no answer.
He slowly put his head up against hers and began to sob.
Deliora laughed in the distance,
"You naive little children."
"Hey you take that back, I'll kill you myself!" Natsu shouted.
As Natsu began to charge he saw Gray stand up. Natsu paused in his tracks.
"You aren't touching him." Gray said softly.
"What do you mean Gray?! Look what he did to Ju-" Natsu was interrupted as Gray turned to him.
His eyes full of rage and hatred.
"This one is mine."
Lucy ran up to Natsu and placed her hand on his shoulder, her eyes slightly watering.
Gray faced Deliora,
"You killed the woman I loved, for that...I'm going to make sure your death is the most painful thing you ever experience."
