Master Makarov had managed to summon Porlyusica to the guild hall to check on Juvia. Gray had laid there against the wall unconscious as Wendy took control of healing him.

"Well?!" Makarov raised his voice at her in worry.

"Calm yourself Makarov. I can't think with you yelling and shouting in my ear! Let me work," she commanded of him.

Wendy slightly frowned as she saw Juvia not showing any signs of waking up. She looked over at Gray and saw her healing magic was working on his wounds.

"I see..." Porlyusica said to herself.

Gray slowly opened his eyes, hearing her speak.

"Oh Gray you're awake!" Wendy smiled.

He gazed at her with a faint grin.

"Young man, tell me how she ended up in this condition," she asked of Gray.

"Deliora sent a blast towards her, one that I thought she couldn't survive-" Gray was interrupted.

"I know how she survived, but it was at such a huge cost."

"What do you mean?" Gray asked in worry.

"She absorbed the magical energy inside herself instead of taking it head on physically."

"I don't get it. I didn't know she could do that," Gray stood in awe.

"Not too many mages can but..."

Porlyusica looked over at Makarov,
"May I speak to you in private?"

He nodded as the two of them walked outside together.

"How are you feeling Gray-san?" Wendy asked him.

"I'm fine. Thank you for helping me heal," Gray told her.

"It's no trouble! I'm just glad you two are okay," Wendy smiled.

"How's Juvia?" he asked her.

"I don't know what is wrong with her. Hopefully Porlyusica can figure it out," she replied to him.

Porlyusica and Makarov walked back in the room, a grim look on their faces.

"Wendy, we need to speak to Gray alone," Makarov said.

Wendy frowned and stood up to walk outside. As she left she closed the door behind her.

"What's going on?" Gray asked.

They were still quiet.

"Is Juvia okay? Tell me!"

"By absorbing that attack, it subdued her own magical energy."

"And??" Gray didn't understand.

"We don't know if she will wake up Gray..." Makarov simply spoke.

Gray felt his heart sink as he grew quiet.

"Juvia is experiencing a magical induced coma. I can heal her wounds with the help of time but...she might never wake-up," Porlyusica quietly said.

Gray stayed silent.

"I'm sorry Gray..." Makarov apologized.

"She'll wake up."

"What?"

Gray repeated himself,
"She'll wake up."

Porlyusica and Makarov just looked at each other.

"If you say so," Porlyusica said.

They both left the room to go tell the rest of guild the saddening news.

Gray sat up slowly, wincing in pain. He walked over to Juvia's bedside. He ran his hand across her soft skin.

"You will wake up Juvia. I know you are fighting to," Gray whispered aloud.

He then placed his hand over hers and sat on the bed next to her.

"You've got to..."Gray mumbled.

Gray looked over her once more when he notices a note in her pocket. He grabbed it out and opened to find a letter that Juvia had written.

"Gray-sama I wanted to let you know something. Juvia knows that this demon has been causing you lifelong pain and torment. Juvia will try her all to help you get through this final battle. If something happens to me, know that Juvia loves you. She loves you with all of her heart. And I'm sure I will be okay. Maybe Gray-sama would like to eat out with Juvia for one evening? I can't wait to return home in victory with you. I love you Gray-sama 💙.  "

Gray felt his eyes start to water.

"Please wake up...."
