All was silent in the houses of Privet Drive, as the soft July breeze whipped against the cool windows of the houses. All except one. Harry screamed as another wave of pain surged through his body, tears streamed down his face. He wondered why these things always seemed to happen to him, then he remembered. Dumbledore. The manipulative old man, how could he do this to me. Force me to live in this abusive place, just so it would be easier to mould me into the 'perfect saviour'.

That morning in the great hall, he had noticed that his friends hadn't come down for breakfast and Professor Dumbledore was missing from the staff table. So after a mental debate he decided it was just a coincidence and turned back to his pile of lemon drizzled pancakes. The Dursley's had only ever given him stale bread and leftovers, so he tried to eat as much food as he could and savored every mouthful.

He left a few minutes early so that he could get to potions on time, he didn't think he could handle any more of Professor Snape's taunting today. As he was heading towards the dungeons he heard voices in the abandoned room of the 3rd floor corridor. With his curiosity piqued he crept towards the ajar door and peered through the gap. He was confused. His best friends, the headmaster and Ginny stood in the center of the room. 'Why are they here?' he thought. That until he heard their conversation.

"How much longer must we pretend to be his friends?" Hermione said. He was shocked, he must have heard wrong. She would never say that.

"Now, now children you won't have to wait long. It is highly possible Voldemort will once again try to pursue the boy and hopefully in the process they both will perish" said Dumbledore. Pleased looks covered their faces. Dumbledore turned to Ginny.

"My dear, I see your pursuits of Potter haven't been working. You must hurry if you want his riches and fame".

"Don't you think I know that. But I don't think he's even noticed that I was there" Ginny said.

Ron smirked. " I'm pretty sure he's gay"

Ginny's face turned into a face of pure rage.

"Then how am I supposed get him to marry me?" She asked. Hermione rolled her eyes and sneered.

" Did you even think of using a love potion?" Hermione asked. A look of realisation came to Ginny's face. Obviously she hadn't .

Harry backed away from the door as tears fell from his eyes. He tried to gather his thoughts but they were a mess. However, the only thing that surfaced was 'I should have been nicer to Draco. I should have accepted his friendship. Then this wouldn't have happened'. He ran quickly through the stone hallways, not paying attention to where he was.

He felt a body collide with his, as he fell to the floor he winced in pain as his old injuries reopened.  "Watch where you're going Potter!" shouted the angry voice of a certain blonde haired Slytherin. Harry looked up and saw the furious face of Draco Malfoy. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry" he said. There was a moment of silence as he took in the shaking form of the boy on the floor. "Potter?" he asked in a concerned voice. Silence. "Harry are you ok?" he whispered.

Harry's sobbs echoed throughout the hall and Draco's eyes widened in alarm. 'What is happening?. Potter never cries infront of anyone, let alone me'. Draco crouched down and placed his hand on Harry's shoulder "Harry we can't just stay in the middle of the hallway, is there anywhere you want to go?" he said. Harry nodded through the tears "The Room of Requirement"  he whispered.
