"There's no need to be afraid, not when I'm here".

Harry gazed at the other in awe. He hadn't thought of the possiblilty but...what if his mate accepted him? Harry shook his head, no. There was no way Draco would ever accept him. He finally came back into reality when he saw Draco's mercury eyes staring at him in determination.

"Don't ever think that. I will always accept you no matter what!".

How had he known...did he perform legilimency on me? No that wasn't it, Draco wouldn't do that. Harry was now thoroughly confused, then what was happening- Harry's mind was sent reeling as it was assaulted with information of things he had never seen before and places he had never been to, Draco held the Felywyn steady as he began to sway. Moments later the feeling was gone and Harry went weak in the others arms.

"Wh-What?"

"The link. Since I am positive that we are mates I can assume that those were my memories, I apologize, some still haunt me today. Also, don't you ever doubt yourself! You are my mate and vice versa, I would never think so lowly of you! I love you!"

At those words Harry's heart exploded and his face began to flush, no one had ever said that to him before and he was overjoyed to hear it from his Draco. Wait, his Draco? No. His Mate. Harry let out a sigh of content and nuzzled his face into Draco's chest, wings fluttering. Draco looked down at the man in his arms and smiled. His mate was perfect.

CRASH. The new mates snapped their heads in the direction of the loud noise, they could hear raised voices and smashing. The two stood and started towards the commotion, Harry's face was worried and Draco watched as his wings folded to his back on instinct. Sensing the others concern he wrapped an arm around him and brought the Felywyn close as they walked.

Their time together as mates had been interrupted; Draco was pissed.
