~trigger warning~

Dan-
His world came crashing down around him. He didn't hear anything after hearing the rejection of who he thought was the love of his life. He didn't feel anything; he wasn't sad or angry, he just felt numb.

Phil-
He couldn't do it. He was pathetic. Now Dan hated him, and it was all his fault. Of course he wanted to marry Dan, but he couldn't. The fact that he couldn't spend the rest of his life with the man he loved made him feel sick.
He went to the apartment to pack up his stuff; he thought he could do it but he couldn't. Everything around him reminded him of him and Dan, all the memories they had together.

He couldn't do it. He couldn't live without Dan. Before he knew what he was doing he had reached for the razor. As he lifted the blade to create a physical embodiment of all the pain he had endured throughout his life, he felt someone grab hold of his wrist. Dan.
P- "Dan let go"
D- "Not until you drop the blade Phil"
P- "I can't do that. I need this Dan. Please."
D- "I'm sorry Phil"
He lifted the blade out of Phil's grip, placed it on the edge of the bath and pulled him into a bone-crushing hug. Phil lost it and started crying into Dan's shoulder as he whispered encouraging words to him.
D- "Phil tell me what happened"
P- "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry"
He grabbed the blade and slashed through his wrist perpendicular to his previous scars.
