Kage Catastrophe was sitting in her room reading when the doorbell rang. The sudden loud noise made her jump. She threw off her blankets and ran down the carpeted stairs.

When she reached the front door, no one was there... There was, however, an envelope sealed with dark red wax that had been slipped through the envelope slot.

Cata sighed and bent down to pick up the letter. She ran her fingertips over the wax seal. It displayed a vague sword shape. Cata flipped the envelope over. It was blank.

With curiosity overwhelming her, Cata flipped the letter back over and carefully broke the seal. A slip of paper fluttered to the ground. Cata sighed again in exasperation and picked up the note.

The handwriting was unfamiliar to Cata, and looked to be written in dark red ink that hadn't quite dried yet.

The note read:

We grow bored. We also sense you grow bored. Come to our home on the night of the full moon. No sooner, no later. We shall be waiting...

On the back of the note was an address. Cata glanced at a nearby calendar. The full moon was only two days away! And the address indicated she had to travel all the way across Japan!

Cata runs back upstairs to her room. She packed a large suitcase full of clothes and other necessities. She opened her laptop and booked a flight to the right location.

The next evening, Cata grabbed all her things and called a cab to bring her to the airport.

Her plane left at exactly 11:45pm. She arrived 10 hours later at the other airport. Cata then took a bus to the town next to where she was summoned. That took another 5 hours, not including rests.

Cata spent the rest of her time wandering the town and wondering who could want her and why.

Once the sun started to go down, Cata went into a local bar to find out exactly where she was going.

"Excuse me, miss," Cata asked the lady at the counter.

The lady looked at her over the edge of her glasses. She gave off a sense of arrogance, "Are you old enough to even be in here, young lady?"

Cata felt her cheeks heat up, "I just have a question for you," she said curtly. She took the note and envelope out of her back pocket, "Can you tell me how to get here?"

The lady's face paled, then scrunched up in distaste, "You can't possibly mean the Sakamaki mansion?"

"Sakamaki mansion?" Cata tilted her head to one side.

"You're looking for that too?" Came a bubbly voice behind Cata. She turned to see a girl maybe a year or two older than her. The girl was holding a large cup of coffee.

"My name is Cecelea Lyall, I was asked to come here too," Cecelea was a few inches taller than Cata, with dark brown hair that brushed the tops of her shoulders. She wore a green and black striped shirt that was falling off her left shoulder. Her green eyes sparkled.

"It's nice to meet you, Cecelea-" Cata started.

Cecelea immediately interrupted her, "Oh, I'm sorry, you can just call me Cece."

Cata smiled, she already liked this new girl, "Alright, Cece, my name is Kage Catastrophe, but you can just call me Cata."

"Ooo," Cece raised an eyebrow, "what an interesting name!"

Cata laughed, "Thank you, do you know where the Sakamaki mansion is?"

"Well I haven't been there yet, but yes, I've been told where we can find it."

"OK," Cata smiled again and followed Cece.

"It's already pretty late," Cece looked at a watch on her left wrist, "if we walk, we should be able to make it there by midnight. Do you have any bags?"

"Just one, should I go get it?" Cata gestured to the table in the corner where she had set her suitcase.

"Geez is that all you have?" Cece squinted at the bag as if she could barely see it.

"Yeah, I only packed for the trip here," Cata picked up her suitcase.

"Honey," Cece grabbed Cata's shoulders dramatically, "we have GOT to go shopping together sometime!"

Cece was already acting as if the two girls had been friends all their lives, something Cata had never had before. She liked it.

The two girls locked arms as Cece pulled Cata down the darkening road. When it got so dark they couldn't see, Cata pulled out her phone and turned on the flashlight. A distant rumble of thunder made Cece jump on Cata's arm.

Cata looked up, a streak of lightning lit up the surrounding storm clouds. Cata frowned, "I hope it doesn't rain before we get there.

The girls made it to a large mansion gate just as another flash of lightning and crash of thunder went off. Cece jumped again and clung tightly to Cata.

"Do you not like thunder?" Cata asked.

Cece shook her head vigorously, "It reminds me too much of distant gun shots."

Before Cata could reply, a black limo pulled up on the road beside them. The limo stopped by the gate and three girls got out.

The first two were clearly sisters, with one appearing to be older than the other. The older girl had long black hair plaited into a braid. She wore a dark blue school uniform with black trim and a black tie. The younger sister wore the same attire, only her hair was shorter and in two side ponytails. She was also a bit shorter.

The third girl had long blonde hair. It was wild and knotted and covered one if her eyes. The other eye was a large green orb that flicked around nervously. She was wearing a light pink shirt with a fluffy bear cub printed on it and a plaited white mini skirt. Her socks were thigh high with little cat ears.

As soon as the third girl crawled out of the vehicle, it shot away as though the mansion was a rampaging beast.

The five girls turned towards the gates. Just as another lightning bolt lit up the sky, the gates slowly swung open. All the girl took a deep breath and walked towards the mansion.
