DEAL WITH IT
"Leave him alone." Anna told people outside the hospital room door. She told Dean he could see Cas for a few minutes alone, while people who came to visit Cas waited outside. Cas had very little family, but the family he did have came to visit. John, Sam, Bobby and Charlie were there too.
"Come on, Cas.." Dean wiped his tears and put on a small, weak smile as he took something out of his pocket. He gripped tightly onto the small blue rock before placing it by Cas' eye, "I can't see your beautiful eyes if their closed shut....I can't...I can't look at this beautiful rock and think of your beautiful blue eyes if you're gonna keep them closed on me..." He sniffed and took a deep breath, "Right Cassy? Come on..." He gripped Cas' hand, but nothing happened. I promised I'd come back, and I did. Why didn't you listen to me? Why didn't you-! He put his head down, I'm a terrible boyfriend...
"Dean, sorry, could you come out now?" Anna asks kindly as Cas' little family walks into the room. He stood outside next to Charlie, who was frantically wiping tears. She walked over to Dean and grabbed his arm, resting her head on his shoulder,
"Why...." She whispered, "Why did this happen..? W-We were talking...just the day before...this all...happened.." She stopped talking and started crying on his shoulder. Dean did the best he could to comfort her, running his fingers through her hair and whispering 'shhhh' because that's what his mother used to do. She'd run her soft fingers through his hair and try to calm him down, it used to work on him so he tried it on other people, including Cas.
"Dean, I'd like to...um...Show you something." Anna grabbed his arm and gently pulled him into the room. They sat on the end of the bed, watching as Charlie and Sam came in too. Sam sat next to Dean, holding his arm and looking down, he kept saying things like, 'So...he's gone?' 'No more Cas?' 'What about everything we promised..' 'H-He can't be gone...' and it broke everyone's hearts, he actually couldn't believe that Cas was dead.
"What was it, Anna?" Dean asked, kind of past the crying phase and more in complete shock. The feeling that, you've cried to the point where you can't cry anymore. He felt sick. Anna grabbed a box and sat back down, it was, of course, the Dean box. "You can open it now."
"What? So he waited unt-" He swallowed hard. Opening the box, the fist thing he sees is the folded letter Anna had showed him before. He picked it up and laid it aside for now, looking at everything else. There was very little in the box, but enough to make Dean break out of the shocked phase and start crying again. There was the rock, a small pie recipe hand written with a little P.S. at the end that said 'for your slow learning ass', and Deans video camera. He had left it at his house one night, and it ended up here. Dean opened the camera and looked at all the videos, playing them in order.
"Dean? What's that?" Cas asked, sitting on the other motel bed as Dean sat on the one across from his,
"It's called a video camera, dummy. I bought one recently." He records Cas face as his expression shifted to confused,
"What are you gonna do with it?"
"Record videos of you." He laughed and started zooming in on Cas' face, then zooming out, then zooming back in. Cas giggled and covered his mouth with his long sleeves,
"Oh?" He smiled, a small pink blush seemingly appearing on his face. The video seemed to freeze and glitch, then it ended. He played a new one,
