"Just because my cousin told you I'd do this, doesn't mean I actually want to babysit your bratty ass." Jace spat, crossing his arms over his chest as he waits for me to get ready.

"Excuse me?" I ask glancing at him before focusing back on my hair as I raked my brush through it. He smirks, "Oh, I'm sorry." He says, standing straight so his shoulder wasn't pressed against the doorframe.

Jace did a bow, staring at me with a devilish smirk as he bent over as if I'm some Queen but knowing him he's only doing that to annoy me.

"Your highness."

And he did.

I scowl at him as I put my brush away, "Do you just make fun of me for your own entertainment?" I ask glancing at him through the mirror.

"Pretty much. Now can you hurry up?" Jace ask, annoyed that I'm taking forever when he's the one talking.

"No." I reply, messing with my hair a bit seeing jace rolling his eyes and clenching his jaw. I take a quick look at him seeing him with black ripped up jeans and a black T-shirt with a snapback backwards, his necklace in his shirt remembering Julian saying something about don't mention the necklace?

I tug on my white converse and find my purse that I could sling over my shoulder, probably gonna buy some things while I'm at it.

"Okay, I don't care if you're done or not. I'm leaving in 5 seconds." Jace states, a bit pissed that he's 'wasting his time' on me. As soon as I hear his bedroom close I went after him. Its not like I wanted to, but I was done getting ready and he's my ride.

He slid down the banister effortlessly while I walk down the stairs and took longer. He's such a kid.

By the time I'm at the front door and closing it, Jace is pulling out of the 5 car garage, still surprised as to how in the world is my best friend living in this huge as house.

I walk quickly towards the car and climb into slick black Bugatti and buckle up my seat belt, not glancing at him not because I'm mad but because this car is amazing.

He has tended Windows and the air here is fresh the car gives out a cool, cold vibe, it's a bit amazing, "Where are we headed first?" I ask looking at him.

He ignores me and puts the radio up high, letting Fifth Harmony blast through the speakers, I cringe at the music and change the channel, seeing his arm flex a bit before he growls, "Don't change the channel in my car." He says, smacking my hand away.

I jump a bit, yanking my hand away from him. He changes the channel again, but it was some Rock sound probably BMTH song. I couldn't stand them either but their music was just the tiniest bit more bearable.

He places his right hand on the wheel as his left one is hanging out the window, the black shirt that he has shows some muscles from this angle.

I fixe my gaze outside, seeing the houses pass by. I jump as I felt something touch my bare knee, glancing at Jace who's rolling his eyes and he opens the glove box to grab his pack of cigarettes.

He pulls one out after closing the glove department and place it between his pink plump lips. I know I'm staring but I just can't help stare as He lit it with his black Jace lighter that he seems to always have with him.

When he places the pack of cigarettes back in the glove department, his necklace swung under his neck, basically teasing me, wanting me to ask but I fought the urge to ask about the necklace, so I kept my mouth shut.

After a few more painful minutes with loud rock music that I've never heard in my whole life, Jace parks the car and we get out quickly.

I follow Jace, who stayed silent not surprise, down the busy streets, "This is the boardwalk. There's nothing really here but an ice cream shop." Jace says quietly, shrugging his shoulders as he smokes still, he stops at the beginning of the boardwalk and sticks his hands into his front pockets.

Letting the cigarette hang by the corner of his mouth, "Well we can't stop here." I say, tugging at his elbow softly not wanting him to do something and walk forward.

He sighs loudly but follows me. I smile to myself, looking at all the shops filled with Australia postcards, shirts and mugs.

"I never understood why there's a need for the tourist shops. Wouldn't the memories be enough?" I say out of nowhere, "Plus the bragging is so annoying. 'Look at me, I went out of the country' and 'Look I went literally 30 miles away and I'm in a new state, yay'." I chuckle, fixing my purse while doing so.

I glance at Jace who's beside me and watch as his the corners of his mouth turns upwards and I take that as a smile, a real good smile.

"So the princess has been around." Jace says, changing his little smile to a smirk that annoys me.

I ignore the pet name like always before shrugging my shoulders not wanting this good conversation to end, "Eh..Florida, Gorgia and Ohio. Doesn't really count. I want to go to Japan." I smile at the thought.

We stop at the end of the boardwalk, staring out into the open sea, blue pure water, reminds me of Luke's eyes and Skye's hair.

"You know, they say whoever you think about while looking at the ocean, is who you're madly deeply in love with."

"I'm going to push you into the ocean."
