I tug my dress down and fix my hair in the mirror, I walk in my walk in closet real quick to grab my black heels, oh boy.

Before I can protest about the heels I hear my nickname being yelled down stairs making me flinch, "KICKS!" Course it's Maxwell.

"IM COMING!" I scream back, walking out my room I awkwardly walk down the stairs not wanting to trip and fall in front of everyone while I have a cake face.

Honestly, it took me forever to do that stupid little wing on my eye and I don't need to mess it up over these goddamn heels!

"KICKS!" Max shouts again when we all know I'm only a mere few feet away from the child, once again before I can say anything jace beats me to it.

"SHUT UP!" Jace blows, Leon leaning on the wall with a smile on his face, honestly when are the guys aren't leaning on walls?

I look at jace whose fixing his tie and hair, Damn he washed up real nice, I make eye contact with Leon who has a big smile on his face, I wonder what's making him so happy.

I stumble off the stairs and almost instantly I bump into Jace, who softly set his hand on my lower back to steady me.

I smile and balance myself, groaning, "I can't walk in these." I complain, tugging on my black dress once again, Max chuckles and grabs my coat.

"You'll end up taking them off in a few hours anyway." Leon States, Showing me his white perfect teeth.

"Whose gonna be there?" I ask, titling my head as I wait for their answer, "Y'know, Julian, Jess-Did you know jess and jace are cousins too?" Leon ask, I shake my head and Jace let's out a sigh.

Leon continues on quickly, "Uh my sister, Yes Max and I have a sister, who else? Oh! Yeah, Mom and us," he says shrugging like seeing Their moms isn't a problem.

I nod my head a bit and play with my fingers, "I'm not standing next to her." Jace complains, pointing a finger at me, "She's like 6'5"."

I chuckle and Max shouts for us, "We got 5 minutes guys." He says before walking out the door and to his GWagon.

"Have fun getting through the doorway." Leon smirks before following his brother out the door.

"So funny." I mumble, carefully walking forward as I balance myself by the walls, Jace huff, showing his annoyance like always, but before I could say something sassy to him, he threw me over his shoulder and carried me to the car.

"There was probably a nicer way you could've done that but either way, I thank you." I say, leaning back on the seat.

He pretended to take off an imaginary hat and tipped it towards me. I laugh and Leon starts the car.

On the ride, I notice that once you really get to know the twins, you can tell Max is the younger one. He still kinda has chubby cheeks.

I cooed softly, poking his cheek, "You have lil chubby cheeks." I say in a baby voice, "No I don't." Max whines, swatting my hand.

"Yes you do." Jace cuts in, sitting on the edge of his seat as he does the same on his other cheek.

"No I don't." Max repeats, swatting both of our hands away, I mean he does but I honestly can't lie and say he doesn't have a fucking good jawline cause he does.

"You do." Leon states, making us laugh and Max groan, "I hate you all." He says, before we nod and smile.

"We know."

I finally met Mrs. Verona, she's nice and always smiled at us, I wonder if its a force of habit or she's just always happy.

Jess and Julian both left already, Julian needed to drop her off so now it's only the three verona kids, their mom and me.

"So how are you Jace? How are you dealing with-"

A spoon flung past me so close to my face I thought I was gonna get hit, ripping my eyes from Jace and Mrs. Verona, I see Ireland (the brunette girl from before, yeah she's Max and Leon's sister) send me an apologetic look.

"Sorry. Spasm." She says quickly, I nod and get up, retrieving the spoon for spasm girl, I hand it to her and she smiles sweetly, showing her perfect smile.

"Are you still hungry?" Max ask, breaking the silence, I shake my head a no and he takes my bread roll, I chuckle when I see him eat it in one bite.

"You're welcome." I state, "Uh huh." He replies with his mouth full, I roll my eyes and focus back on everyone else.

Why was everyone suddenly being really weird.

"....Yes, a nice young lady." Mrs. Verona tells Jace, wonder what their talking about.

Jace said something back but Leon started to dramatically drum on the table with two spoons.

I cringe and before I know it Ireland is asking me something,"Have you seen the ballroom? You should see the ballroom." She grabs my wrist without letting me response. The twins surround us, Leon in front, Max behind, this is weird, they brought me to a ballroom and Max turned all the lights on.

I look around the big room, It looks gorgeous.

But I turn around to face the three Verona kids, "Why are we here?" I ask, "You three are acting very-"

Leon plugs the speakers in, a loud shrieking noise coming out and making me cover my ears quickly,The three seemed unphased by it, like it was normal to here the loud screech.

"You don't want to dance?" Max ask all of a sudden, spinning me around like a prince would to his princess.

But this isn't a fairy tail, My heels slipped from under me which causes me to fall down hard.

"Not really." I grumble, taking my shoes off while I'm still on the fall, As soon as I get up again, Max spins me around.

Okay now I'm just frustrated.

"What are you guys doing!?" I demand, pulling away from him, I set my hand on the wall and struggled to tug my heels on again. Jace comes in, his hands tucked unto his pocket.

"Why are you all in here?" He ask, I look at the three whose just smiling, "Dancing." Ireland shrugs, Jace nods, not buying the excuse, and looks at me. He gives me a small nod, silently asking 'and you?'.

"Breaking my ankles." I mumble causing Leon to say something before Jace does, "Are we leaving now?"

"Yeah. Let's go."
