The walk to Jiyong’s car was silent. It was a different kind of silent. Not the comfortable kind we usually have. The quietness was actually suffocating.
"Hey. Jiyong!" I called him out but he only paced quicker. “Jiyong! Wait up!”
He opened the door to his backseat and roughly dropped my stuff.
I gaped, "Hey! What is with you? Why are you acting like a kid throwing a tantrum?"
"Yeah. I'm a kid. Sorry for not being a man like Daesung." He muttered begrudgingly.
"Wh-what?" I choked out a tiny chuckle. Is this guy jealous over Daesung?
"Sorry I'm not as romantic as Daesung. Sorry I only prepared a simple and humble picnic to ask you to be my girlfriend and not a garden of flowers"
I choked slightly. Did I hear it right? "You...you were going to ask me?"
He looked at me with dull eyes, "There’s no point now, is there? I was two seconds too late-"
"Did you seriously think I said yes to Daesung?!" I shifted my weight to one side as I placed my hands over my hips.
"That's what the kids have been whispering to me while you're grabbing your stuff. They were even telling me to back off…"
"Those kids are freaks! He was going to ask Bom, not me! And do you think if I was together with Daesung I’d go with you now? I don’t like him that way and he doesn’t like me-"
I was cut off when he suddenly enveloped me in a tight hug. “Good. I know you don't see him that way ‘cause you’re mine”
I couldn’t help but let out a small laugh at his childishness. “And who told you I’m yours?"
"I did" I felt his lips slowly brush my cheek.
Despite being completely spellbound by his evil lips that were on every inch of my face, and preoccupied by silent hopes of them touching mine, I still manage to utter, "...Asshole, you haven't even properly asked..."
I felt him smile against my skin, "Lee Chaerin?" his eyes called for my attention.
I gulped as I tried to look at him back with my heart beating irrationally.
"...Will you be my girlfriend?"
