Chapter Eight
Dalton couldn't help but smile when Kiera rolled her eyes and turned her back to him. She was so amusing. He stood there, his hands shoved into his pockets watching her for a moment before she looked over her shoulder back at him.
"Didn't your parents tell you it isn't polite to stare?"
The bleached blonde youth sighed dramatically, "Come here so I can knock you upside the head." He watched as she feigned shock.
"Dalton!" She gasped; her right hand fanning her face, "How could you say something like that to me?"
Dalton's lips curled up in a smile, "It's easy. I use my big boy words." He motioned for her to follow him as he set his sights on a ride that went up high and dropped you. Just thinking about it made his heart speed up.
"So, which ride do you want to ride first?"
"Isn't it obvious?" He pointed towards the ride labeled 'The Terror." He chuckled softly as she leaned closer to him.
"Can you do that one alone then?" She asked softly.
"Why, are you afraid?" He sighed as she nodded. "Kiera, come on! It won't be that bad. Please." She shook her head no. "Pleaseeeeee." He whined and still she said no. He pulled her into the line, "At least stand in line with me."
He flashed his wristband at the guard guy and pulled Kiera after him. "Too late to bail!"
"Dalton Louis Rapattoni! I can't believe you!" She furrowed her eyebrows together and glared at him while she worked to get herself buckled in.
Dalton only grinned, "Oh, suck it up buttercup. Besides, I can't ride the first ride by myself. That defeats the purpose of someone being here with me."

"Hey, hey. Let's do a periscope." Dalton nudged Kiera as she sipped on her soda.
She shrugged, "Sure. Sounds cool."
"Sweet." Dalton pulled his phone out, quickly running his fingers through his hair before starting his livestream. "Hey guys. It's been a while since I've done this. So, hey-" He narrowed his eyes and leaned forward to see the onslaught of comments. "Oh, all the flashy lights? I'm at the amusement park with a friend of mine." He started to scoot closer to Kiera.
"No, Dalton this is your thing. I really don't think-"
"Hush," Dalton quieted her complaints as he wrapped his arm over her shoulder so they could both be in the video. "This is my friend, Kiera. I met her one night while I was exploring the town. Say hi."
"Uh, hi." Kiera smiled nervously. Dalton watched as her golden brown eyes scanned the words on the screen. They were being nice, which seem to help her relax.
"Nope, Kiera's not my girlfriend. A friend." Dalton answered before leaning over to whisper in Kiera's ear. "Get ready for the fanfictions." He whispered. She slapped his arm which caused him to snicker.
"Am I at the fair in Riverstorm?" Dalton turned the camera around so they could see the surroundings, "I don't know, does it look like it?" He browsed over the various questions about his eyeliner and when the tour will start again. He chose to ignore all of those, "I am currently enjoying the fair food. All greasy and will make me fat. Yum."
