Athazagoraphobia
(n.) the fear of forgetting, being forgotten or ignored, or being replaced.Chapter Three.
Kiera's shift had ended five minutes ago, but she still remained at Thalia's place. Her fingers ran nervously through the dark purple strands of hair. Dalton sat across from her, his chin resting in the palm of his hand.
"I can tell you want to ask me something, so just ahead." Dalton sighed and looked out at her from underneath dark eyelashes.
"Oh, no. It's not important..." Kiera muttered and dropped her brown eyes to the ground.
Dalton chuckled softly, "It's Idol related, isn't it?"
Kiera glanced back up on him, relieved to see a soft smile instead of annoyance. "Yeah. It is."
"How about, I'll answer five 'fangirl' questions, and then you can forget about Idol, alright?" He sat up straight and took a sip of his coffee.
"Really? Oh my gosh, thanks!" Kiera nearly squealed. "Five, huh?"
Dalton probably didn't mind because Idol was now apart of who he was. "Who was your favorite judge? I know you had one, so don't lie!""I would never have a favorite." Dalton laughed, "It was Keith. He was really nice. Always had nice things to say."
Kiera nodded, "Were you a bit jealous of Trent?" She softened her voice, "After he won."
Dalton seemed to freeze a bit, he brushed his fingers through the back of his hair. "Well, yeah. I think any normal person would have been. Don't get me wrong, I'm super happy for him and I never expected to make it so far. But," he paused and toyed with his dog tags, "I got so close to the end that I actually started to believe I had a chance. I was kinda crushed."
Kiera noticed the sad look in his eyes but he laughed and sorta bounced on his seat. "It was a great experience, I'm happy I even got a chance." Was that an automatic answer? She definitely needed to lighten the mood. "What was your favorite performance?"
Dalton tapped a finger to his bottom lip, "Well, I absolutely loved 'Calling You' but 'Bird Set Free' and 'Eleanor Ridgy' were great too." He flashed a bright smile, "This is actually a really unfair question."
Kiera laughed softly and folded her hands on the table. "I'm going to save my other two now."
"My turn to ask questions then." Dalton grinned, "What's your whole name?"
"Kiera Olivia Silvers." She decided it was best to not argue and let Dalton ask away.

Dalton had asked her several little questions ranging from dream job, favorite word, and finally if she wanted to attend a party with him.
"You want me to go with you?" She asked softly, almost in a state of shock.
"I really don't want to go, and you're the only friend I have here. Pleaseeeee, I'd be so much happier if you say yes." Dalton said, tilting his head slightly.
