Chapter 7 He's Back

   "Security!!" I heard a nurse who had seen me trying to force Jayce out of the hospital room. I felt a stinging sensation across my face. Jayce just slapped me! I felt blood coming from my mouth.
  "Jayce get out! I don't want to see you ever again!" I screamed as security burst through the door
  "Young man, you need to leave this room and Aria you need to go with this nurse because that is a serious cut on your mouth," The security guard said. I went with the nurse and Jayce went with the security guard.
   "This isn't over Aria!" He screamed through his struggles of trying to escape the security guards grasp.

"Brody... Brody wake up!"
"What happened this time? Why does my head hurt? Why do you have bandages over your mouth?"
"Jayce punched you again and you went unconscious again. I needed stitches on my lip."
"Why? Did he hurt you? Oh I'm going to kill him," He said sitting straight up.
  "Brody lay back down. No one is killing anyone and yes he slapped me really hard. When we go back to the house we can pack if you want to leave."
  "No. We are going to stay there for the week because that's what I told you and I'm not going to let that loser ruin our time here."
   "Oh. Okay." I tried to smile but it hurt. My phone buzzed. I answered.
   "Hello?"
   "Hi Aria how's the trip?"
   "Well so far, Brody has been knocked out by Jayce twice and I have stitches in my lip," I replied. I really didn't want to tell him that but I had to.
   "Jayce was there??!!"
   "I didn't know he would be. I broke up with him and he drove up here and then he beat Brody up and then came to his hospital room and knocked him out and then slapped me so hard that he busted my lip open and I'm pretty sure they're taking him to jail."
   "So what's the plan? Are you staying or what?"
   "Yes we're staying. Brody is allowed to leave the hospital later tonight."
    "Okay have fun."
    "Hey dad..."
    "Yes?"
    "I have a new boyfriend."
    "Who? Did you meet him up there?"
    "No dad I've known him for 10 years. It's Brody."
     "Yes!!! I always knew you'd leave Jayce for him!!! Yes yes yes!! Your mother would be so happy!"
      "Ok. I love you dad."
      "Love you too." Did my dad just say that he loved me? I can't remember the last time he said that!! This is the best day ever.
      "Brody... My dad just told me he loved me..."
      "That's a rare thing..." He groaned.
     "What's wrong?"
     "I just... It's nothing..."
     "No Brody... What's wrong..."
     "My sister... She's...Missing..."
