I peeked out of my ripped, lipstick stain curtain expecting Jayce to be the one throwing pebbles at my window.
He did that a lot since he can't come to the front door and knock. But it wasn't Jayce. It was my best friend, Brody. I went downstairs and walked outside.
"You better not be going to meet that Jayce boy," My dad hollered from the kitchen when he heard the front door creak open.
"Relax Dad! It's just Brody," I called back.
"You should really consider going out with Brody instead of Jayce. Brody's not a-" Slam! I slammed the door shut. All he does is criticize Jayce and rant about Brody this and Brody that and blah blah blah blah.
"Hey," I said when I walked around to the side of the house, "You know you can knock right?"
"Yeah but this way is more fun," he smirked. "You ready?"
"Ready for what?" I asked.
"You'll see. Just hop in the car. I have a surprise for you."
