When I woke up the man was standing over me.
"You're awake," He said with a twisted delight. I nodded. "Good because I have a surprise for you." He went upstairs and brought down a chair. There was also something that looked like a huge piece of rope. "Now you don't have to stay in the cage anymore. I'll tie you to the chair instead." He unlocked the cage door and I hopped to the chair. I didn't want him to kill me. He told me to stick my bound hands in the air so the wouldn't get tied with the rest of me and he wrapped the rope around me and the chair several times before making sure the knot was super tight.
When he turned his back I squirmed to see if breaking through this was going to be easy. It wasn't. The man undid the zip tie around my feet and put something metal around it. I looked down and there was a giant something at the end of it. Probably so if I happened to get out of the rope, I couldn't move. He moved to the back of the chair and undid the zip tie around my hands and bound them together with duct tape.
As the man began to walk up the stairs, the doorbell rang. I screamed through the tape.
"Be quiet!" He said as he made is way up the stairs. I broke the duct tape on my hands and undid the rope and the chains. I don't know how I managed it but I did. I realized that the man had left the door open that I tried to escape from earlier. I ran towards it and pulled it open quietly. When I looked outside and to my right, I saw Brody, Aria (Brody's best friend) my mom and my dad on the doorstep of the man's house. I ran to them with tears in my eyes, forgetting to take the duct tape off of my mouth.
"McKenna!" I heard Brody scream as he lifted me off the ground and into his arms. "I'm so glad we found you!" He pulled the duct tape straight off my mouth (the quicker the rip, the less painful). He hugged me and I saw Aria crying tears of joy and trying to smile with bandages around part of her lip.
After Brody put me down, I heard sirens and all of a sudden I saw blinding blue and red lights rush up the man's drive way.
