Aria & Luna ~ Chapter 5

Aria's mouth immediately went dry. Her gaze flickered over to Luna for a split second, seeing her shocked reaction as well. Aria looked back at Bartholomew, seeing the Cheshire grin upon his face. She summoned her courage and swallowed hard before growling, "And if I refuse?" She was mentally patting herself on the back for not stuttering. Bartholomew's grin faltered, before returning and then he began to laugh. "Darling, I really don't think you get you're situation quite yet." He replied, waving his hand towards the man in white. The man in white nodded before shoving Luna forward, sending her towards Bartholomew. Aria didn't even have time to process what had just happened before Luna's back was pressed against Bartholomew's chest and a revolver was pressed to her temple. Luna's eyes widened in fear, as did Aria's. "I will not repeat myself again. Kill him." Bartholomew said, grin never once leaving his face. 'He's serious... If I don't... he will...' Aria thought, her breathing becoming labored as she tried to think of a way out of this. "Time is ticking, Miss Ito." There was no way to get out of this without someone dying. Aria took a deep breath and with shaky hands, she gripped the knife, slowly raising it above her head. "No... please, no! I'll do anything, just please don't kill me!" The bound man cried, trying to reason with them. Bartholomew clicked his tongue, shaking his head. By this point, Aria had tears streaming down her face. 'I'm so sorry...' Was her final thought before swinging the knife down.

Red. The only color Aria had to herself at this point was now becoming her most hated color. Blood covered her hands, it was splattered all over the surrounding ground and on her attire. The man's body was lying on the floor, lifeless, the knife laying beside him covered in crimson. Aria's eyes dulled, becoming slightly more lifeless. Bartholomew laughed, as if this was the funniest thing in the world. Aria looked up and glared at him, and if looks could kill, the entire building would be on fire. He shoved Luna forward towards Aria, Luna running and wrapping Aria in a hug, Aria slowly returning it. "Now you finally understand." They both looked to Bartholomew, who was putting the revolver away. Aria pushed Luna behind her. "If one of you doesn't cooperate, the other dies. You two will be put through intense training, ridding you of your beloved emotions and making you our puppets. You have no choice, you cannot run or get away from here, and if you don't cooperate, someone will pay the price." He grinned, waving the two men in black to take Aria and Luna to their rooms. As Aria was entering her room, she glanced back at Luna, mouthing "I'm sorry" just as the door closed.

~ Time skip: 4 years later ~

Two figures clad in black cloaks stood on the roof of convenient store building, surveying the ground and searching for their target. "It is 9:43 P.M., he should be approaching momentarily." One figure said, her emotionless voice making the other figure's heart sting. "Yeah, yeah, we've been watching him for 2 weeks now, Luna, I think we know that he should be passing here shortly." The other figure said, giving a slight glare towards the girl whose beautiful blue hair was hidden beneath the cloak's hood. Luna rolled her eyes, readying her rifle. "He's here. Do you're part, Aria." Luna muttered, crouching down and readying her weapon. Aria grinned wickedly before standing and leaping off the side of the building and into an alleyway, landing on her feet silently. Their target was just about to pass by as Aria grinned a bit more before murmuring, "Showtime."

(A/N: I do apologize for the rather short chapter, but I do hope you enjoyed! I have been rather busy with my lessons, so that is probably going to be the excuse I use for late chapters and whatnot XD Anyways, I hope you enjoyed and a new chapter will [hopefully] be here next Friday!
