"Are you comfortable here?" Cutting a small piece of steak in his plate Irtiza asked.
She lifted her eyes and smiled.
"Yes. I am. This house is beautiful."
He smiled politely and said,
"Which part attracted you the most?"
The brown closed door appeared on the canvas of her mind and she moved tongue on her lips.
"The lawn, living room and this dining area." She said and dipped the bread in the curry.
"You must have not seen terrace then." He chuckled and sprinkled some black pepper.
"Where it is?" She asked abruptly.
"We will check it out after we get it done." Pointing to her plate he said.
...
The weather was still the same with no wind blowing up. The terrace was another piece of heaven and her eyes were frequently observing his back lowered to the railing.
"Has anybody ever told you that you are too good for an ordinary woman like me? I cannot take my eyes off from you. What would I have done if you did not enter my life? I would have been torn into pieces but you pasted each of those tiny pieces together again. Baba is no more but you are here and I am content. Marriage has its own certain sensations, thoughts and feelings.
It is not a bond only but a promise to be each other's king and queen and today, I declare you as my king, my handsome king.
I am totally into you. Feeling that coldest night when Baba was transiting through this world makes me have fears but I know that you are here to give me shelter. What else a woman wants! She craves for nothing but a protective embrace; the security that gives her everything her heart desires. Men are wrong in deciphering our needs but you will never make a mistake, I know. Only Allah has the access to my heart; the cold heart in the eyes of the world, but today after a single day of our marriage I will find the key for you to unlock this piece of my body that proved it existed for you only. I was waiting for a right man in my life and who knew that we two will end up together. Your missus is lucky; I told to the walls of my room that only witnessed me calculating permutations and everything related but someday I will tell them that I was right.
This string in my neck chained me for you. I am all yours. The silent confession has taken place and the loud, harsh one is waiting for you. These all feminine feelings are making me crazy and I fear that you will read my mind. I do not want it happen, at least for now. It is not easy to have a husband who knows everything about brain and I have got one. I don't know if you love me but one random day when the waters will be usual and the skies will be clear then you will say it all. Tsunami has wrecked the havoc and the thunderstorms have painted your face in my eyes and I cannot endure more than this. I have dedicated my every piece to the man who is sipping coffee right there in the mid of the terrace and here my heart goes to clear the wrinkles on his shoulders."
Closing the notebook she rested her head on the wall and a beautifully elegant smile played on her lips. Irtiza turned at her side and she capped the pen hurriedly.
"Three of my friends have planned a dinner for us tonight. Are you free?" With the cup in his grip he placed his elbow on the stainless steel railings and asked.
"I am free." Staring at the caption of his t-shirt that said, "idk, google it", she confirmed and the thought of a fully pampered dinner made her feel good.
"I don't google everything, seriously." He replied with mischievousness glittering in his eyes.
She lifted her eyelids and stared in his eyes. An expression of serious infatuation glimmered and then faded.
"When we will be going?" After all she was a confident woman.
"Six. We need to travel to the city's suburbs. I don't know why the man has chosen such a distant place!" Shrugging his shoulders Irtiza said.
"Suburbs?" The mountains made the way in her mind.
"Yes." He nodded with a totally relaxed body.
"It goes due, Sataish!" He thought and sipped the now cold coffee.
...
Wearing the cathedral grey long shirt with the minimal embroidery of navy threads on the sleeves she was looking all gorgeous. Stroking her cheeks with the lightest beige blusher she tugged the free strands of her hair behind her ear and then applied a sharp layer of plum lipstick on her lips and smiled at the reflection in the mirror. Making her hair in a comfortable bun she clipped it properly allowing no space for their escape. Unlocking the chain in her neck she made the both ends interlock again in the last hole and adjusted the pendant. She wrapped the navy blue silk oblong scarf on her head and gave it luscious layers that made her look drop dead gorgeous. Sliding the zircon bracelet down her wrist she adjusted the platinum ring, her Baba gifted, in her finger and then looked for a critical impression.
"It is looking bold."
"Let it be." Welcoming the new Sataish she laughed lightly and then clasped her heels.
The knock on the door made her to pick the clutch purse from the bed and then she opened the door.
"We are about to leave. Send me the address for one more time." The man dressed in dark grey formal suit was talking on phone and her heart stopped beating. Turning at her his eyes stunned and he traced her from head to toe and praise filled his eyes. She lowered her eyes and he said,
"What a coincidence!" in the hoarse voice he had.
She smiled back and then closed the door behind her. Walking through the corridor she stole a glance of the man who made her familiar to the inner desires she had concealed.
"You are the only one who made me feel like this. You are worth the wait, Irtiza." She thought and placed the back of her fingers on her smiling lips.
