Vana was going for a swim looking for some shells when she saw a metal machine with a giant claw coming from it. She got scared so she turned around and started to swim when she was blinded by a bright blue light and ran into an iceberg and passed out.

Howard was looking for Steve when he came across the Tesseract and a beautiful girl with blue hair lying unconcise next to it. He collected the girl and the cube and took them to shield, which had just been created. The girl was in a coma and no one knew anything about her. Every now and then the girl would groan and all the liquid within twenty miles of her would ripple and shake, and sometimes even float. Shield kept her in their hospital and tried to find out anything they could about her but found nothing. She eventually became classified and only level ten agents and higher even knew she existed.

Back in Meri, Vana's family was worried sickfreaking out. Every once in a while they would get a signal from her and try totrack her but the signal was never up long enough to be tracked. Then after ithad been a whole year since they got a signal they assumed she was dead and hada funeral for her and eventually moved on, even though her older sister Orabelnever fully recovered. Vana was the best sister and friend Orabel had ever hadeven though she was her only sister. Even after the funeral everyday Orabelwould check the orb to see if there was a signal never fully losing hope.
