Luke's leg bounced up and down nervously as the principal stood up up on the stage, talking to all the friends and family about the past year. He was about to start calling names and Luke could feel his palms sweating. Obviously he passed, or he wouldn't be here, but just getting up on stage in front of everyone was nerve racking and also the finalizing of everything ending and his real life starting. Luke couldn't help but be so nervous that he felt sick.

Luke snapped out of his thoughts when he starting hearing the principal call names. He slightly clapped for everyone called, but when the principle read of the name Rome Averies called, he clapped louder, smiling wide as his beautiful best friend walked up on stage, her maroon hair perfectly curled and loosely hanging off her shoulders.

Luke could hear Olivia a few rows in front of him cheering, bringing yet another smile to his face. It wasn't long after until he heard his own name being called. Luke took a deep breath and stood up, fixing his gown and rising to his feet, walking up to the stage. He shook hands of people who wore too big of smiles and acted like they knew Luke all his life, congratulating him and all, when Luke didn't know any of them besides his principal which he had talked to a couple of times.

Luke still smiled though. He was happy to be graduating. He was happy where his life was going. He was going to be living with his best friend, going to school for things he loved and living only a couple of blocks away from his amazing boyfriend.

As Luke walked down the steps, he could hear someone shouting way too loudly.

"Yes! You go Luke! That's my boyfriend," Michael was screaming.

Luke's cheeks heated up. He wasn't embarrassed by Michael, frankly he was used to Michael by now, he was just so flattered that someone cared about him so much to show this much affection. Luke took a seat with all the other graduates already called and let the rest of the grade be called, cheering once again when Olivia Whyte was called.

"And there you have it, the class of 2013!" The principal called out as everyone stood up, tossing their hats in the air.

Luke grabbed his hat and made his way over to Rome, teary eyed. His arms wrapped around her tightly as he buried his face into her neck. Rome held Luke tightly.

"We did it," Luke whispered. "When we were little, we never thought we could, but we did."

Rome pulled back, tears in her eyes as well. "We did it," She repeated.

Luke smiled and hugged her again. He let go after a bit and turned around, coming face to face to Michael. Luke squealed like a little kid, hugging him tightly. Michael smiled wide, hugging back and kissing his head softly.

"I'm proud of you," Michael whispered.

Luke smiled and looked up at Michael. "Thank you."

Luke let go of Michael after a minute and hugged Olivia, congratulating her as well. Then Luke went and hugged his family. When everyone was hugged, Luke went back to Michael, hugging him again.

"I don't know how I feel. I'm excited, scared, sad, I'm just full of emotions," Luke sighed.

"It's overwhelming," Michael said, resting his hand on Luke's cheek. "But this is the start of the rest of your life, and trust me, it gets so much better and so much more real."

Luke and Michael sat in the front seat of Michael's car, waiting for Olivia and Rome. Michael was dressed in black jeans, a white button up, black tie and a leather jacket to top it off. Luke was wearing black jeans as well, with a black button up and a black blazer.
