BrysonIt was two in the morning when I heard my phone ring.
"Hello?" I answered annoyed. I got out of bed so I didn't wake up waking sleeping Cori.
"What it's fucking 2 in the morning?"
"Well INSTED of making you go to a meeting in la. I decided to call you. We have tour in two days." My eyes widened.
"Why I just finished the last one and how long." I was clearly angry.
"Well because all the staff thought it would be a good idea."
"Mitch, you can't choose my fucking life! I have shit planned."
"It's for six months, it's a world tour too."
"Forget that shit I'm not going. I'm not missing my wife's first pregnancy to entertain people I don't know. That's not happening." I barked back.
"Bryson you need to do it or your not. Going to have any income."
"That's fucked up Mitch and you know it because when Jessica was pregnant I gave you time off. And you can't even spare me three months, man we ain't cool no more."
"Come on Bryson. Really don't bring it there"
"No fuck off Mitch your a fucked up manager. Your only focused on your money. Not about mine and that why I hired you."
"That's not true."
"Yes it fucking is, you are disgraceful. You should be happy I don't fire you right now. IM not going."
"Bryson, fine don't go but expect anyone to be happy with you."
"I really don't give a fuck. Your not the one that pays them or makes it eligible for them to work."
"Ok-" with that I hung up. I was now standing in the kitchen. I shook my head and took a seat on the bar chair. I took in a deep breath and closed my eyes.
I wasn't going to leave Cori but at the same time I needed to make the money.
"Bry!!?" I heard her whine my name.
"Where are you?!" She cried out.
I sighed and got up form the chair.
"I'm coming now baby girl."
I walked into the room and saw her getting ready to cry. She ALWAYS crying and gets annoying but she can't help it.. She's very sensitive and emotional.
"Baby girl don't cry, I'm right here."I walked over to her. I couldn't see her because of the darkness that surrounded us. But I could feel her energy.
"Are you going to leave me?" She began to throw a fit. She's a little girl in a 22 year olds body. I turned the light on.
She was sitting up.
"Please don't leave me like everyone else did." More tears spilled onto her face. She was never content with herself. She was more into makes mung others happy even when she wasn't herself and that's the part that worried me the most.
"Baby I can't promise you that."
Her eyes widened."What do you mean you can't promise that. The point of engagement and marriage is to be together." She stopped crying.
"Cori I-"
"No! Do you even want to be together? Sense you can't promise to be with me why are we even in this relationship?" She got up from the bed.
"Cori that's not what I ment."
"You may not have ment it but you said it. Your so fucking dumb." I could see that anger was getting the best of her.
"Please just- just leave." She pointed at the door. I sighed and got up.
"Cori you know I love you right?" I didn't get a reply. That hurt me to the core. She didn't think I loved her. Maybe my foolish heart to myself I did maybe I really didn't love her and that's why everything's going south.
"No you don't you just think you do." She retorted knocking me out of my thoughts.
"Bryson, I love you to the core as a matter a fact I would die for you. But I don't think you feel the same. Between the disloyalty and the distance between us I think we should..uh take a break." She concluded periodically looking down throughout her sentence. I gave her a head nod and slammed the door close behind me.
I was beyond mad I was furious. My relationship with Cori was failing and we both knew it. We love or should I say loved each other but we are falling out of love, and it's the hardest thing. I sat on the couch. The living room was full of memories from the past.
Our trip to Paris. Our first Christmas together. The first date.
I have to FIX us.
