Today was JJ's 6th birthday. His parents said that they were going to do something special tonight just for him. But little did JJ know...

It was already the last few hours of his birthday which meant his 'present' from his parents would be given to him anytime soon.

"Olajide, are you ready? We're going now." His mother called out.

"Yes mama. I'm coming down now." JJ called out from the second storey of their "house."

You see, JJ didn't know the background story of his parents. He didn't know that the house they currently lived in was stolen by his parents. He didn't even know his parents were criminals. That's why JJ always acted bad, and his parents wouldn't care.

As he got into the back of his Mum and Dad's car, he noticed some devices he normally wouldn't see in the daytime. Some were like tasers, masks, and even money and jewelry. Those hints told JJ that his parents weren't the typical parents who thought stealing was bad. It is, but most parents don't do that.

"Mummy, why are there masks and a lot of money in here?"

"That's for our present for you tonight. We are going to go rob a bank and teach you how to commit a crime."

JJ wasn't scared. He was actually excited. He always wanted to become a criminal ever since he could talk.

It was near midnight by the time they got there. JJ's parents already put on their masks and walked out of the car. JJ on the other hand trailed behind in his all black clothing, wondering what he can do to help. All he knew is that he can control time and have flashbacks if his parents fu- mess up. He didn't want to mess this up because of him. He wanted to make his parents proud, especially on his first try.

As soon as he caught up with his Mum and Dad, they immediately talked to him about do's and don'ts.

One thing they didn't know about their son was that he NEVER listened to rules or directions he thought were boring or lame. JJ zoned out, pretending to listen when in reality, he just wanted to grab the money and go. But he knew it wasn't that easy. His parents have taught him how to steal ever since he could walk and talk.

"JJ. Are you ready?" His dad asked.

"Yeah. Let's go." They looked at him weirdly but quickly went to work.

"JJ, stand back." His father said.

They finally reached the vault after all the trippy obstacles in their way. JJ's dad then got to work unlocking it, and as soon as it was unlocked, something happened.

Red lights blared. Sirens were sounded. The whole vault was a trap.

"Olajide, Jide, get as much as you can!" JJ's mum yelled over the sirens.

They quickly grabbed piles of money and gold, stuffing it into huge bags before security could arrive.

But they were too slow.

Guns were out in the blink of an eye. JJ was scared, even when he himself got into this mess. But this was worse.

"OLAJIDE, DO YOU NOT HEAR ME?!?! TURN BACK TIME!!!" both his parents yelled.

JJ immediately turned back time in a blur.

"JJ, stand back." His father said.

"Dad, don't open it! It's a trap!!!" JJ called out.

His dad stopped immediately in his tracks. "And how would you kn- oh wait nevermind. You have chronokinesis." But his dad didn't listen.

He still opened the vault.

Sirens blared

Red lights illuminated the roon

JJ and his dad grabbed the money and left.

But they were still too slow.

All guns were out in the blink of an eye.

"Put the bag down." One officer said.

"Make me." JJ's dad fought back.

Bullets were fired. JJ slowed down time, taking the bullets in the air before it could reach his dad. He then turned it to normal time...

Bad idea.

Security guards snuck up on his parents, handcuffing them on site.

"Finally, we got you two." The cops smirked.

They never noticed JJ as they were focusing on his parents. But one did.

"You're the one who slowed down time, didn't you?" The guard asked.

JJ nodded, in fear that he would get hurt.

"As cool as having chronokinesis is, it wasn't the right thing to do."

"I'm sorry officer. It's all my fault. Now I put my parents behind bars." JJ fell to the floor and broke down in tears.
