Chapter 5- Meeting O2L

My mouth is hung open in awe. The boy who helped me up is Jc Caylen, standing with him are Connor Franta and Ricky Dillon. They are all smiling at me. “Oh my god.” I say, “Is this a dream?” They all start laughing their heads off. “Uhm. HI! I'm Margie. That's short for Margaret but if you call me that I'll kill you in your sleep. Oh, and I already know who you are..” I blush. Jc smiles cheekily and says, “Hey Margie. You seem cool. So you live in Texas?” I nod. “I'm actually going to be moving to California in a few days. But I really have no place to stay there.” Ricky steps closer to me, “Well, you could stay at the o2l house, right?” gesturing toward the other boys. “Of course! Yeah.” Connor and JC say in unison. “So, wanna hang out tomorrow? Maybe grab some lunch or something?” JC asks. “Sure!” I say , nodding toward jewels. “I'll just ride this baby to um, where do you guys wanna meet for lunch?” They exchange looks and then say, “TACO BELLL!” I laugh, “Alrighty. Taco bell it is. We meet a noon at Taco bell right?” They nod. “OH!” I almost forgot about Winnie. “Is it alright if I bring a friend?” Connor answers, “Sure, why not? Well, we have to head to JC's house but we'll catch ya tomorrow.” I nod again “See ya tomorrow boys! Nice meeting you!” I yell heading down the sidewalk toward Winnie's house. Oh my god. I just met 3/6 of O2l. And they said I could stay at the o2l HOUSE in California. Could it get any better than this?

I arrive at Winnie's house just shy of 8pm. Still thinking about meeting the boys I knock on the door until Winnie's mom lets me in, “Hi, Margaret! Come on in. Winnie's waiting for you up in her room.” I breathe through gritted teeth, faking a smile and saying, “Okay! Thanks Mrs Bolton!” and run upstairs to Winnie's room. Almost being blinding by the amount of hot pink and zebra print in her room. She sees me and immediately asks, “Whats wrong, Marg?” all I can think to say is, “Mydadcamebacktomyhouseandmymomanddadfoughtandshetoldmetogetmyjunkandleaveandsoididandimmovingtocaliinafewdaysand-” I take in a breath, she stops me “Hold on. Tell me the whole story."

So I tell her. About the fight, about how hard it was to leave Eden, about meeting the o2l boys on the way here, meeting them for lunch with her at Taco bell tomorrow and all she does is just stare at me. Then gives me a big hug and leads me to the hot pink love seat next to the window on the other side of the room. “I'm so sorry, Margie..” she says but then smiles a little “But hey! You met pretty much half of o2l in one night. That's awesome! And your going to be LIVING with almost all of them. You should be excited.” I shrug “I know I should be excited, I mean I am I really am its just I can't stop thinking about my dad just showing up like that, with no hint that he was coming to Texas whatsoever.” She looks out the window “I don't know. Maybe it was supposed to be a surprise for Eden? With the big 13 coming up.” “True, I guess. I don't know. My mom seemed pretty pissed, I can't believe I just LEFT Eden with her. “ She looks at me and says gently “You know what I think you need?” I snort, “What, Winnie?” “I think you need some sleep.” She adds “it helps so much to get a good nights sleep. Plus, tomorrows a big day!” she winks, opening my suitcase and handing me my pajamas. I take them and head to the bathroom across the hall, slipping on the black daisy cloth shorts and black halter tank before walking back to her room and plopping down on the air mattress she blew up for me. Within minutes, I'm asleep.
