Lightwood Café. (AU)

It was a Saturday morning in Brooklyn when Magnus decided to go out for a coffee. It seemed like this coffee shop is new, it is named as Lightwood Café.

He was greeted by a lady with a black long hair, he was lost in her hair. Just hair. "Good morning, welcome to Lightwood Café." She said cheerfully.

"Isabelle? Great name. And great hair." Magnus said and went directly on the cashier.

He was then greeted by a blond, with a redheaded girl beside him. He assumed they are in a relationship. "Good morning, Mr.?" The blond asked.

"Magnus. Magnus Bane." He answered.

The blond smiled at him. "I'm Jace, cashier in charge. What can I get you?"

Magnus chose a simple one. "Cappuccino." He gave his payment and sat on a table.

"Alec!" The blond guy shouted, and a tall man with a black hair and amazing eyes went near them. "One cappuccino for the Magnus guy right there." He pointed at Magnus. "Make this quick, don't let him wait." Alec nodded.

Magnus was so stunned with the guy and he didn't notice that he is walking to near his place.

"Here is your coffee, Magnus." He said, smiling, but his eyes are not. It worried Magnus.

He took a sip and Alec just stared at him. "Alec! Get your ass back here!" A guy shouted, probably older than him.

"Yes, Hodge!" Alec shouted.

When he reached Hodge, he was slapped by him, which made Magnus' heart fall. "I told you to buy black coffee, not white!" He shouted.

"Sorry." Is the only word Alec said.

"Look what have you done, Alec." Said the blond guy or Jace on the cashier.

Alec bit his lower lip. "He didn't say it clearly, that's why."

"Next time, listen to him!" The redheaded girl said.

Alec didn't do anything. He just bowed his head and hid himself.

Magnus then stood up and left the coffee shop. It was too much. He can't take the scene. And he's feeling weird. He just saw Alec, and then why is he feeling this strange thing? He shook his head. He will come back to the coffee shop, soon.

The next day, Alec was quietly cleaning a table, when Magnus arrived. Magnus was greeted by Simon, Isabelle's boyfriend, and he went on the cashier to tell them his order.

"Alec, come here." Isabelle said, and she wiped Alec's sweat. Alec smiled at her. "I'm okay, Izzy."

"Hm. Magnus Bane, the guy yesterday, is watching you." Izzy whispered and gave him the coffee that Magnus ordered. He is the only costumer here right now.

"Hi." Magnus said as he saw Alec.

"Here's your order." Alec smiled weakly.

"Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?" Magnus asked with his charming voice. Alec looked back at his sister, Izzy, and he nodded.

"Sure."

"I was just wondering, why is it seemed like everyone hates you, oh I mean, they shout at you." Magnus asked with his furrowed brows.

"Oh, it's because I'm gay." Alec said, blushing.

"Oh? There's nothing wrong with that."

"I know, but they don't like me. They seemed to underestimate me."

Magnus took a sip of his coffee, cursed because of it's hotness. And the hot guy standing in front of him. "What's your full name?"

"Alexander. Alexander Gideon Lightwood."

Magnus almost choked on his coffee. "Wait, you own this coffee shop, right? And why your position is like that?"

Alec sat on the chair across Magnus. "My parents own it. They also can't accept me that's why this is my position. The girl who I'm talking to is Isabelle, my sister, seems like the only one who understands me."

Magnus' heart soften. He knew that he needed to help this man. "Be strong, Alexander. And who is Hodge here?" He asked.

"The monster." Alec hissed, and Magnus laughed. He's so beautiful when he laugh, Alec thought.

"Alec! You stubborn gay get back here! It's time for work not flirting!" Hodge shouted again.

Alec sighed, he stood up but Magnus held his wrist. "No, stay, I got this." He whispered and went near to Hodge.

"What is your problem with Alec?" He asked.

"And who are you?" Hodge questioned, his face turning red because of anger.

"I'm a friend of him, and I don't really want to know what's your problem with Alec, but the thing is, stop shouting at him!" He yelled.

Hodge lost his temper and he punched Magnus right on his face. Magnus wiped the blood on his lip. "I won't fight you, Hodge." He whispered.

"Uh huh, scared."

Magnus was about to attack Hodge but Alec did it for him. He kicked Hodge's stomach causing for him to sit on the floor and spit blood.

"I've been waiting to do that, Hodge." He said and smiled at Magnus.

"Faggot!" Hodge screamed. "You're fired!"

Isabelle laughed with Jace and the redheaded girl who is Clary. "It seemed like you forgot, Hodge. We own this. So you're fired." Isabelle reminded, and Hodge ran.

"That's so much for a Sunday morning." Jace said while looking at Magnus.

"Look, Alec, we're very sorry for treating like we don't accept you, but we do. We love you." Clary said.

Alec nodded. "Yeah. Wait, I'll just get an ice, Magnus, you're bleeding." He said his eyes wide, his voice worried.

He chuckled. "No need, Alec. I can handle myself." Alec blushed.

"Seems Alec found a friend. Or was it just friend?" Jace asked and slapped Alec's shoulders playfully.

"Shut up, Jace!" Alec said his face still flushed.

"It's been how many weeks since I kicked Hodge out. That's really nice." Alec told Magnus who is still in the shop though it's closing time.

"You're right." He said, resting his chin on his folded hands while staring at the beauty in front of him which is Alec Lightwood.

"You seriously waited for me? Am I that important?" Alec laughed, a real laugh.

Magnus was so lost in the moment and Alec stared back, frowning. "What is it?"

"There's one thing that I would like to do now." He whispered.

"Hm? Really? What is it?" Alec asked bluntly.

"Close your eyes."

Alec scoffed. "Why? Are you going to show me that--" He was shut by a pair of lips that belongs to Magnus Bane.

He gasped in surprise but when he realized, his hands went on Magnus' hair and kissed him back, passionately.

"Looks like they were having fun." Simon said while quietly looking through the door. They all looked and saw the scene.

"I knew it." Jace said while grinning.

Alec broke the kiss because he needed air. He was breathless. "Wow.."

"Yeah, wow." Magnus agreed.

"Yeah wow as in wow." Jace said still grinning.

Alec and Magnus glared at him, so he raised his hands on the air. "Relax. Wanna hangout?"

"What's on your mind, Jace?" Alec asked.

"Bar? Club?"

"Oh!" Magnus said, jumping. "I own a club, if you're familiar with the Pandemonium." They nodded.

"So there? Okay!" They shouted, and went outside.

Magnus took Alec's hand and held it, clinging their fingers together, smiling at each other as they go a ride to Pandemonium.
