------------
Slowly, I starting becoming conscious again. My whole body felt like it was on fire, aching with each breath I too. Everywhere I looked, I saw blurry splotches of white and yellow. My head felt like it wasn't attached to my body. Everything swayed and blurred wherever I looked. I pushed with everything I had to at least make a sound of my thought.
"Arcanine.." I breathed.
The blobs of yellow stopped moving and my vision finally came back. I held my breath as I took in my surroundings. Everywhere I looked were webs covered in tiny Joltik and massive Galvantula. All looking at me.
"Shit.." I whispered.
Looking down at my body, I was wrapped in thick spider webbing all the way up to my chest.
There was no way out of this one. No slick talk, no people to use to get out of this situation. I was completely out of options. And alone.
I hung my head low. Out of all the damn people to think of right now, I thought of Hugh. How I never would've even been in this situation had I not stormed out like the way I did. I was literally offered a ride to my goal, and I rejected it like an idiot.
I looked around at what seemed to be the last thing I would see. It made me wonder if this is how people feel when they're about to die. Like they've accomplished nothing in their life. I sure as hell know I haven't. I never thought my plans would be halted like this. All this work I've put so much effort in, only for it to be ended by damn spiders. At least the last of my family is safe. And I'll finally be with the ones I lost..
Feeling the web that trapped move around, I looked and saw a giant Galvantula hover over me. I didn't even try to fight the electric arachnid. There was no ounce of fight left in me. Anyone in this situation knew where it would lead to.
I took a deep breathe and closed my eyes feeling it right beside my neck. I just wish I could see Arcanine one more time.
A silent howl rang through the cave that I suspected was my imagination. Then it came a second time with more volume. An instant put twisted my stomach as the last howl came through with an ironic figure coming into view. Arcanine.
This was the one time I regret ever having something I wanted come true. As soon as I saw about him, his bark echoed throughout the cave taking all the spiders attention. My heart raced at the thought of a battle between them.
"Arcanine get out of here!" I screamed. "It's too danger-" my words were halted by a sudden sting in my neck.
Looking beside me was the massive Galvantula that put my ass here. My vision went blurry again, and I started slipping back into this lucid darkness. I looked over at the red silhouette I knew was Arcanine: an unfamiliar white figure now standing beside him.
"Go.." I breathed.
---
Arcanine growled with overwhelming confidence at his owners captures, and with anger, each hissed back. One by one, he started attacking the small Joltik himself as the giant Galvantula made its way down to the fight.
Brimming with too much excitement to fight the fire type became blind. Arcanine was pulled under from behind by one of the Galvantula. It hissed aggressively over the dog as it prepared to bite with its deadly fangs.
Arcanine braced himself growling out all the hatred be had for this spider. All of a sudden a huge cannon of murky water aimed itself at Galvantula and threw the spider halfway across the cave. Arcanine looked to where the aim was shot at and wagged his tail. Standing before him where five ginormous Seismitoad.
