'Little One, it is time to rise,' Vervada whispered.

I groaned and turned to my other side, but didn't get up. My eyelids were heavy and my back ached.

'Arise Luxa!' she shouted.

"Okay no need to give me a headache," I grumbled, setting up.

I walked out from under her wing and stretched slowly. Yawning, I looked out the window to see that it was still dark out.

"Vervada it is still dark out!" I exclaimed.

'I am aware,' she said looking out the window.

"I could still be sleeping right now. I need my rest for my classes today," I huffed at her.

She sighed at me then got up and walked out of her stall. I shook my head and rolled my eyes at her. I want to strangle her sometimes. I sighed and reluctantly followed her.

She was waiting for me outside of the Stables. I grabbed onto her leg and heaved myself into my saddle. Once I was settled she took off at a run and leapt into the sky. She flapped her wings so we went higher and higher until she was satisfied with the height. I leaned back in my saddle and looked up at the stars. I used to lay out at night with Father and watch the stars. That was until he was called to war and I was left alone.

'You were never alone, Little One. I was always with you,' Vervada soothed.

I smiled and patted her back. I hoisted myself up and grabbed onto my handle.

'Shall we go faster?' I asked her.

Vervada rumbled and lifted up her wings. She shot across the night sky. The wind whipped at my face making my eyes water. I started to laugh, which encouraged her to go faster.

We sped around the academy until some light showed across the sky. Vervada landed next to the High Castle so I could go and change. Breathing heavily I reluctantly took the lift. Once on my floor I headed towards my door and said the enchantment. I quickly changed into my school uniform and brushed my hair before heading out the door again.

Students were milling around the grounds getting themselves and dragons ready for classes. I had astronomy as my first class, dragon health has my second, flying lessons, then swordsmanship was last. I was happy except for dragons health, I will probably fall asleep in that class.

I walked down the stairs carefully, making sure I didn't trip. Once I was at the bottom I opened the door and headed out onto the grounds.

"Well, well, look who's actually getting a early start," a voice said behind me.

I rolled my eyes but didn't look back. I walked faster, heading towards the Astronomy Tower. I could hear him following me.

"Come on babe don't be like that," he said.

I whipped around making him hault in his tracks.

"Enough with the name calling! I am not your babe! I am not your honey! I am not your baby or sweetheart or anything else you have called me! My name is Luxa!" I shouted and turned around walking away from him.

'Serves you right,' I heard a voice say behind me.

I was guessing it was Eridor letting me in on his thoughts. I smirked and walked through the door. My eyes took awhile to adjust to the darkness in the room. I looked around to see one familiar face. She waved at me and motioned for me to sit down beside her.
