Hello to all of my lovely readers. I'm so glad to be writing for you guys. I hope that you really like this story. I have big plans for it!(rubs hand together)
Now let's get this thing started!
***************************************************************************************
I didn't even notice the arms wrap around me, but before I knew it I was in someone's lap.
"It's okay firecracker," Magnus said.
I closed my eyes and focused on calming my breathing. My heart was racing out of my chest.
"Shh it's okay," Magnus reassured me.
I laid back against him not caring what it'll do to me later on. He set his chin on my head and wrapped his arms around me tighter. We sat like that for awhile as I finally was able to calm myself down. I opened my eyes and looked around. The first thing that caught my eye was what looked like another Mark forming on my wrist. I stood up quickly and stared at it.
" It's a Socius Mark," Magnus said as he stood up as well," our bond is becoming stronger. One of the bonding stages is to use majik on one another."
He showed me his wrist as well. It looked exactly like mine.
"In the Infirmary you used majik to give me strength after.... whatever happened," I said slowly.
"Yes, so now the bonding process has begun," he said giving me a small smile.
I was expressionless. Emotionless.
"I don't want a socius. I don't need anyone," I said.
Pain flashed across Magnus's face.
"Why do you push people away?" he asked clearly hurt," I have let it slide from the day I met you, but now I want an answer."
I didn't answer him, just turned and walked away.
"Oh no you don't," I heard him say behind me.
Footsteps followed me and an arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me around. I was then pushed against a wall. I glared up into Magnus's eyes.
"You aren't walking away until you answer me," he said.
I clinched my jaw, and glared at him even more.
"You want to be mad at me, fine go ahead, but you are not going to push me away. Not when I haven't done anything to deserve it," he said.
"Haven't done anything to deserve it?" I screamed," You wouldn't know if you had or not. You don't know me. You don't know what I've been through!"
"I would if you would just tell me!" he screamed back.
"I will never put my trust in anyone again, because all the ones that I had loved turned their backs on me. I'm never putting myself through that again."
"Oh my Deus," Magnus said as he let me go," you can't keep pushing people away. Yes your past may have been bad, but if you keep focusing on that then there won't be any room for your future."
"Why do you care?" I snapped.
Magnus let out a big groan, clenched his fists, then ran a hand through his hair.
"I care because you are part of me now. Whether you like it or not we are connected, so if you're hurt... I'm hurt."
"Two minds don't equal the same pain," I murmured.
