Chapter Nine

Punk's POV

I ran beside the paramedics as they wheeled Angel backstage on a stretcher. She was still unconscious. When we got to the ambulance Sansha was there waiting. She rode in the ambulance with Angel. When the ambulance darted out of the arena all of the wrestlers surrounded the area. I was running towards my locker room when I heard Randy call after me.

"Punk! Go get your stuff out of the locker room and meet me in the parking lot!" Randy yelled. I gathered all of my things from the locker room and sprinted to the parking lot. I let Randy drive because I was too frantic to drive. The image of Angel lying motionless in the ring consumed my mind. It was my fault.

We pulled up to St. Luke's Hospital and parked. Randy and I jogged to the entrance. I walked up to the lady behind the front desk.

"How may I help you?"

"We're here to see Angelina Roberts..." I said motioning to Randy.

"She is in the last ER section on the right." the lady said as she pointed.

"Thank you." I said as Randy and I headed for the ER. As we got closer we heard a loud commotion.

"Jason, just leave! Angel wouldn't want you here!"

"I'm not going anywhere she is still my fiancee! Sansha, just shut the hell up!"

Things got so heated they didn't even noticed that I pulled the blue curtain aside and stepped within the enclosed space. Jason was standing at bedside holding Angel's left hand and Sansha was standing on the other side. Randy walked over to Sansha and hugged her.

"What is he doing here!? This is his fault!" Jason shouted as he got in my face.

"If you don't get out of my face you'll be in the hospital bed next door!"

"You're the reason why she is in here!"

I lost my cool and slammed my forearm into his neck. Randy tried to separate us but failed.

"Guys, I think she's waking up! Someone go get the nurse." Sansha said. I pushed Jason and walked over to where Sansha was standing while Randy ran out to find the nurse.

"Open your eyes babe." Jason said.

"Punk?" Angel mumbled as her eyes slightly opened.
