Punk's POV
I was pacing outside of the curtain when it was pulled aside and Jason walked out. "You can have her!" Jason spat. He walked away abruptly before I could respond.
Randy and I exchanged looks, Sansha was the first one to go back in. I just stood in the hallway, processing everything that just happened. I care about Angel and I really like Angel, but was I the right guy for her? I've never been the best when it came to relationships...
"Earth to Punk-" Randy said snapping his fingers in front of my face.
"I was just thinking." I said.
"There's no time to think right now, Angel needs us, Randy explained.
Randy and I entered the small bedside area once more. Sansha was trying her best to console Angel. I saw the clipboard on her bed so I picked it up and read it. But I couldn't make sense out of anything I read.
After putting the clipboard down, I sat on the edge of the bed and put one arm around her. She hesitated at first, but soon rested her head on my chest. Was I doing something wrong? I thought to myself.
"I'm a little hungry, I'll be in the cafeteria. You guys want anything?" Sansha asked. Angel and I shook our heads.
"I'm coming with you, hopefully you don't mind." Randy said as he wrapped his arm around her and smiled down at her. Sansha and Angel were about the same height, they are really short compared to Randy and I.
"Punk?"
"Yes," I replied as I stroked her hair. I looked down at her but she looked away.
"You don't have to stay. This is all my fault! I'm pathetic; I don't deserve your comfort." She solemnly said. She lifted her head off of my chest and removed my arms from her waist.
"Angel, what are you talking about? You're beautiful and talented. Whatever that douche bag told you was a lie. Jason is the one who is pathetic and unworthy."
"Everything he said wasn't completely a lie. It's my fault that this happened. Everything is my fault, Punk! How am I supposed to move on from this? I just can't see it. Not right now." Angel started crying again. I tried to hold her but she escaped my arms again.
"Don't say that. It is not your fault. I'll help you get through this, We all will. You can do this." I said hoping that she would calm down. She finally allowed me to embrace her.
Sansha and Randy soon returned. They needed to start dating already; it was obvious that they like each other. I couldn't criticize because deep down all I wanted was Angel, but I didn't have the courage to tell her exactly how I felt. She would probably just turn me down, she was going through enough already.
"It's getting late and you two need your sleep. Go to the hotel and get some sleep, come back in the morning." Angel said to Sansha and Randy.
"You sure? I don't mind staying here tonight." Sansha said.
"Everything will be alright, I'm staying here with her." I intervened.
Randy and Sansha agreed and left. I was still laying beside Angel in the bed with my arms around her and her head on my chest. I didn't know exactly why, but I got nervous when I was around Angel. I guess she could hear my heartbeat quicken because she turned her head and looked at me with her gorgeous brown eyes. I kissed the top of her head, wishing it was her lips.
"Goodnight, Punk."
"Goodnight, Angel."
