The gravestone felt cold to my touch. My fingers moved over the engraved words.

I smiled down at the stone. I cleared my throat, and began my usual update.

"Today, I got up and wrote the rest of that song. I named it, too. It's called, 'Listen to the Trees Now'. You would love it. It's calm and soft. Sarah went off with some friends and left me alone to read Stephen King's The Shining. You wouldn't believe how twisted it is."

I was still grinning as I talked to Emma.

I started to subconsciously sing under my breath.

"Well she's not bleeding on the ballroom floor..."
